Hacking Newb! Help please??

I cant find anything like my situation...

I have a ND i that I bought used, I have multiple GBA & NDS game programs on my computer and none will load in my system.
I tried putting them on a micro sd card and put that in one of the R4, when that didnt work I put it in a sd card, still didnt work. tried emailing them to myself and downloading from the internet part. Still didnt work.

Most of the program extensions are either GBA or NDS

I tried looking for something different to convert into, couldnt find anything...

HELP! PLEASE?!

OH I also will be getting a DS Lite very soon. can anyone lead me in the right direction for those conversions if possible too? Please?

I'm sorry but it's quite difficult understanding you. If I read this correctly, You have a DSi and a working R4 card, but you can't seem to get the R4 working?

sorry didnt realized you needed exact. and looking at it, the R4 card doesnt have a sticker or anything identifying it, and i am not 100% sure but I believe this is the site.. http://www.r4-usa.com/

Sorry for the late reply, download the files from r4isdhc.com and see if it works.

Chances are, your R4 won't work on an up-to-date DSi. I assume you have a kernel set up on your R4? If so, you should be able to just put your NDS ROMs in the root of your micro SD card. As for your GBA games, you'll need a slot-2 cart. You could run an emulator for your GBA ROMs, but it's a bit rough.

your card will not work with gba games\apps...

you can only play DS or GBC games (if you make the card work)

as for asking if its fake or not, ignore that. if it works, then its good...
if it doesn't you probably will need to update that thing on a old ds

anyway- they say their own cards are fake.. which is a totally bullshit and shaddy markething... so ignore that part.

if you dont remember where you purchased, how about trying to go to the computer history and give a look? or try to see on email for orders.. if you can track down which card\which website is taht card from it would be great.

1) I downloaded the R4 compatible V9.6.0-24V1.45 which says it works for 3DS, 2DS, NDSi, NDSL, NDS. I downloaded the Kernel for English. My question would be, How Do i transfer the download to the DSi?

2) Is there a way keep the NDS file on the DSi?
3) If there is no way to keep the NDS file on the DSi, How do I make sure when I take out the R4 (or) SD card that I do not lose the saved game?

1 - You don't the software lives on the R4 card

2 - No
3 - A save game file is created on the SD card in the R4

either SD (up to 2GB)
or SDHC (up to 32 GB)

you need to unzip the folder to the sd card, (i will search for a guide, wait a moment)
then you create a folder on the card and put your games on it.

does the card loads the menu on the DSI or a error shows up?

There shouldn't be a limit -- I've used up to 32 GB with my R4 SDHC card. You could format your SD card with the link here:

Okay So I installed a pillow pet game, 6473 - Pillow Pets (U).nds and the Original Kernel I posted. put in the R4 and a totally different game comes up, try to play it just to see. its stuck at the load screen. Ill try the other megaben game be to see how that goes. and will let you know

this is the setup theese cards require...

you unzip the files to the root of the sd card. then insert the sd card in the r4 card and put on the ds.

if your console loads a menu like this, that means you got the right thing.

keep in mind. menus are diferent. yours can be diferent from this picture, but if there is a menu. you got it working.

you dont need to copy the games yet. just try different software until the menu loads..
copy the games AFTER you got the menu working, or you will be just wasting time. waiting to the game to be copied.

if you get an "error as occurred please turn off the dsi"
or "an error as occurred, please read instructions manual"

that means the card is blocked and probably you will have to buy a new one.

Damn. Okay. I did the SD card like you said. didnt work. Does that mean my R4 doesnt work?

i kept trying to do pictures and it wasnt uploadingit goes from the start up screen to the spongbob game screen. no menu or anything.
