I have just recently bought a new GameCube to revive some old favorites. I have my launch 'Cube in storage, so I figured I should try some sweet hardware mods and possibly a chip (since I now have a backup unit in case I screw up). I have been looking around for aftermarket parts, and many of the "Viper" shells caught my eye (especially http://goo.gl/5Kow3j). After a couple hours of frustrated searching, I have had no luck finding ANY aftermarket shells for sale. So, to my fellow 'Cube fans, any idea of where to find these in 2015? Is there any hope for this quest?

Thank you in advance, all help is greatly appreciated.

For the money and effort I would say look at a second hand Wii. Bonus is the Wii has far easier component cables, supports full size DVDs out of the box and has a whole bunch of soft mods. About the only thing you can't do is use a GB player.

On a different note nice link there mercuryshadow09, I really would not have expected such things to be available in 2012, let alone 2015. For chips I would usually have pointed at http://www.eurasia.nu/shop/default.php?cPath=53 unless you want to make your own.

Even I would suggest a Wii. They're dirt cheap these days, are completely hackable without any chips, and do GC games pretty well.

I have considered the option of using Wii instead, but I unfortunately (or fortunately) have already ordered a Xeno chip, and have already secured component cables and a GB Player. Also from what I have read, the Viper cases accommodate full-size DVDs.

Idk, I just recently got a Gamecube myself and have been searching for a Viper case, gonna order one on Friday. And to respond to why not just get a Wii? Because I am a collector and want to be able to play on original hardware, got tired of jumping through hoops to get this or that game to work and it also has a Gameboy player! I actually own two Wii's, one soft modded and one WODE plus a Wii U, just want to play Metroid Prime Trilogy on a Cube!

I will have to do some more research into the site itself, but the listing looks legit to me. Also, I have to agree with you, as I firmly believe in using original hardware, not only for quality, but also nostalgia.

Nice Link but seems everything on there is out of Production & Stock

Sucks as I have also been searching for a Full Case Replacements for my Platinum GC...

A lot of those cases are out of production but they still for whatever reason have some in stock, I put a crystal blue case in my cart all I have to do is pay for it.
