To be fair, Wii and GC were literally the same thing, minus a few things in power and the control scheme.

If you expect something completely different than what we have continually received when discussing a "new nintendo console" in terms of power of connectivity, you are setting yourself up for a huge disappointment.

This just in Zelda Wii U now delayed until 2017. It will be released simultaneously with the WiiNX version with a tacked on VR first person view. Oh and Link will no longer swing a sword with either hand.

yep nx will just be a slightly more powerful wiiu with a tacky vr device since that's the latest FAD right now (3d fad is over :P)

I think more games shouldn't really have time constraints for their creation. I feel as if this can lead to a richer in-game experience, and a higher-quality game overall. But I don't think you should take too long with your games, either. Just what you feel would be good for a game's release.
That makes sense, right?
I'm half asleep, and have been playing DQH: Rocket Slime for a little too long.

Obviously this will come out on the Wii U, Nintendo is not like Square Enix in this sense (hrm hrm FF15).
If they release this game for the next generation then they'll either add something to it to make it feel new and fresh or release it as a VC downloadable title.
So just relax and be happy that Nintendo is trying to make this game truly Epic.

Nintendo consoles last five-six years each before getting replaced with a new console. Assuming NX is revealed next year, it'll probably be released in 2017.

(NES 1985-1990 - 5 years)
(SNES 1990-1996 - 6 years)
(N64 1996-2001 - 5 years)
(GCN 2001-2006 - 5 years)
(Wii 2006-2012 - 6 years)
(Wii U 2012-2017 - 5 years)
(NX 2017 - 202?)

I find it ironic that at E3 2011 Zelda U was a highly anticipated potential launch game for the Wii U, and at E3 2016 it'll be a highly anticipated swan song title for the Wii U.

Nintendo needs to do what they did with the Wii, and release a Zelda title at launch, as well as at the end of the system's life. that prettymuch maximizes the system's sales potential at launch, and helping bring in some extra cash during the system's near-death decline.

I'll be grabbing the popcorn to anticipate the inevitable butthurt. More time for the release just means more time to refine the game *gets off soapbox*.

Maybe they're doing a Twilight again? Cross release for Wii U and the NX?

Just maybe a Tales HD remake or port for the Wii U maybe incoming.

Namco Bandai says they have a big surprises for the upcoming Tales Anniversary over the next few months...

We already know Tales of Zestria is coming to the West on the PS3 soon and the PS4

I thought the PS3 version was cancelled? Cause I know it was leaked and then confirmed this past December it is also coming to the xbox one. And the ps4 version was stalled for a month or two to get the xbox one caught up.

2012-2015 :P

Xenoblade X is coming out next month in Japan so that's something they can't dodge releasing on the Wii U. It's bad enough the fucking console has a shit library and even worse is when Nintendo's trying to give their own fans the middle finger.
