Yeah that's what I tried, but it wouldn't install - the install instructions on the first page say the following, but I can't find the loader.dol in the Zip file:
The forwarder looks for: apps/nintendont/boot.dol and apps/nintendont/Loader.dol
if you installed the wad then nintendont channel will appear on the system menu.

then on the SD/USB device you need everyting perfectly named

apps/nintendont/boot.dol

lots of ppl have the nintendont folder named like nintendon't so the path isnt recognized.

loader dol is just another name you can use.

I couldn't install the wad. I loaded wad manager and the Nintendont forwarder failed to install - as I say, I think this is because I don't have the right files in apps/nintendont - I have no loader.dol but I do have boot.dol.

no it isnt that, the wad doesnt care for anything you have on install, you could even install the wad on a solo sd card lol, maybe you got some outdated wad manager or something ios related.

Yeah, I'm using a 2GB SD card which is usually fine with Wad Manager.. it just seems to be this forwarder installation that's causing me problems.

you sure picked the wii one isntead of the vwii one? becuase they are two diferent ones.
I definitely did, yep. I have Nintendont - LXVS Wii.wad in my /wad/ directory and Wad Manager found it straight away, it just failed during installation. I think with a -2007 error iirc?

I can't quite understand why it doesn't work (hence why I talked about the loader.dol!)..

If you have trouble installing a WAD you are trying to install it with the wrong IOS loaded, when or after you started the wad manager, first change the IOS to a IOS number that has been patched (a trucha bug installed), when you are not sure which IOS has been patched usually you are fine when you choose IOS 236, 249 or 250.

After that you should have no problem to install the WAD file.

How do I change the IOS number? Can I just do this in WAD Manager?

It has been a long time ago since i used a wad manager so i am not sure if every wadmanager has that option, but like i said earlier, you should be able to change the IOS you install the WAD with when STARTING the wad manager or AFTER you started the wad manager in the menu..if this is not possible then search for another WAD manager, maybe the one you are using is too old.

After looking some videos on youtube the version of f-zero ax on the net is not the jp version unless the language can be change to japanese through service mode. So, if anyone wants to implement link function with gx for nintendont in the future they should change the code from GFZJ8P to GFZE8P. Here is a video of the jp version:
