marc_max first of all, sorry I keep pinging you in half my posts, but if it helps, feel free to link this program to the OP, or quote it

Thank you, froggestspirit, for linking me to your work! I don't know how I missed that previously, but thank you!

Question, is there anything important to remember when it comes to the waterfall (cliffside, not the one going to the beach)? I tried making a new river, but the waterfall keeps disconnecting from the river and ending up further south completely glitched out, so I was wondering if you had any pointers about that. ^^; Thank you!

That would need to be manually edited in... I guess I might do an update that automatically adjusts borders, but it might not be for a while, i'll see.

I can't speak for marc_max himself, but probably not because of inappropriate sharing of the photos online

Well I understand, I'm trying to figure out by myself but it's hard.. I don't know what to do with the whole code, maybe copy/pasting hex codes of another image

So for your program, is it the same method/way of marc's? What I mean is the same like way to load your town to edit it, then inject it.

so if i do something that ends up being a really bad idea all i would have to do to go back to the un-modied town is reset the game

Great news!
You'll probably lost all stored patterns/letters though, since they are located in a different address.

Actually, the only thing I lost was the house items; think that was normal no? everything else is here.

There was a hiccup when saving the 1st time (actually more like a crash) but it still persisted.

In other news, I've made decent progress on character customization. Unfortunately, I'm able to confirm that faces are indeed exclusive to their respective genders in this game. This wasn't the case in City Folk, so I'm pretty disappointed about that. Anyway, expect to see a lot of information on hairstyles, hair color, eye style, eye color, clothing, and equipment in the next day or so. This will most likely be my last big contribution.

Also, for anyone interested in looking for something new, it'd be nice to have the ability to complete your bug/fish/sea creature lists. I looked into it before, but it's a bit complex for my tastes. I'm guessing this is because it also records data for largest size that you've found for each species, among other things.

RAM editor was updated again!

* Acres are shown in both map and island
* Pockets, dressers and badges are editable for all players now
* Villager editor now shows names
* Some unused items were readded to the list (please check that they don't freeze the game)
Thanks to everyone who contributed!

As always, remember to refresh the site.

One more thing, don't expect any new updates since I'm going to stop working on the editor. I'll just update the item list if needed (we are still missing: players 2-4 patterns and growing trees states amongst other things) or fix any silly bug that could appear.

Sourcecode is open so you can take it and add any new features :-)

Great work as always, marc! Kind of sad to see that you're mostly finished with the editor, but I respect your decision.

yeah! I went to the address for badges and all i saw was zeros. What did you edit?

I changed the 00 values (which correspond to having no badge in each category) to value 03 (which corresponds to having gold rank badges in each category). The values that I list after the addresses are the values that you can plug into those addresses in order to see changes. For example, for badges, I believe it was...

00 - Nothing
01 - Bronze
02 - Silver
03 - Gold
04+ - Crashes the game when viewed

Woah I did it ! I reversed the hex value, E02A became 2AE0, don't know why we have to reverse them....
Yeah, you have to reverse the bytes when editing the RAM directly. Also, some of the values near the middle of that list are most likely incorrect. Please report any incorrect values if you find them.

E02C - Animal Crossing Buried Item Star -> E02D

I tried 2CE0 to get the burried item character, it did not work, but it worked with 2DE0

Oh yeah, the new NeoKamek's LeafTools dumps that part too. Too late I guess :-(

Has anyone tried editing their town into a valley (waterfall on both sides)? Or a peninsula (No waterfall)? I'd do it but I'm a scared chicken. I'd be more brave if I wasn't currently working on a really big house project with a new resident.

Also, changing the ID card message sounds like fun, too. I'm gonna look into that.

Has anyone created a "standard start" save? I mean it would be very useful if we had a save to make into a hacked town that is after all the initial setup steps. If no one has uploaded a backup like this before I'm thinking I might as well since I would like to create a brand new town.

But if anyone has this already it would be appreciated you post it for others to use.

I did this. I have 4 waterfalls currently. one just connects to another.

You'll have to reflash a save, the game will crash before it gets to any sort of menu

I need your guys help... I think I have have broken my game... It keeps crashing after the train loading thing appears. PLEASE HELP!

You have to re-flash a save. this has happened to me multiple times with my map editor (and is why i put the disclaimer in my map editor)

Edit: Goshi You can use my editor to do that. It's posted a page or two back, or maybe on the op

So sorry, I totally drew a blank when I made that post.
