Hello, I have a question.

If I wanted to change my town's native tree, would I be able using something like HxC? And if yes, anyone has any idea where in the code it could be?

Just got a town with a layout I like and villagers I can deal with...except I have pears as a local fruit again and I already have these on my cycling town. OOPS

not sure myself, but with the editor you can plant perfect fruit trees of your non native fruit.

Yes, I've tested it, the editor is convenient, but when I'm on the go on long trips, I don't always have access to the internet.

But if it's too hard/impossible to just change my native tree in my field, I'll settle for that, thanks for your help :D

I've been keeping up with this thread for a few days now so, i decided to make an account; Im loving the progress that's been coming out.:yaysp: cant wait for the map editor to be up and running.^_^

Get hyped

it is actually, The data is at 0x4DA04-0x4DA57
2 bytes per acre, and in a 7x6 grid. only change the inner 5x4 blocks, the outer border shouldnt be messed with (unless maybe you're moving the waterfall). I've bricked my game messing with this before (luckly I restored it with action replay). I'm handing the properly numbered image files over to marc_max so he can implement it into the editor.
Again, I'm not responsible for anyone messing with this data before it's ready

 im surprised you even got powersave to actually work with acnl I've tried millions of times but always got errors :wtf: assuming you are using a powersave, anyways stoked to hear how fast you guys are working on this project.

That's awesome! Thanks for the contribution!

I am WAY more interested in re-mapping the island. I have some really wild plans.

i didn't think we'd be able to do THAT..

My suggestion is to do smaller edits, saving and loading and repeating, until it breaks, then you'll know what was going wrong.

Maybe first move the buildings 2 or 3 at a time closer to the station

then pull the land back and have a giant ocean

then make the island

then move villagers to the island

Keep in mind that it will be a real problem if you need villagers to follow you to a house that's across the water if you do this. You certainly won't be able to get Isabelle to follow you to the island under any circumstances. Although maybe you could link bridges. that'd be pretty sweet.
