Well, we've had decrypted GW 3.0 for aaaages. It's beyond easy to do. The real thing that's actually newsworthy after having done that is actually getting firmlaunch-hax working. It's super easy if you know what you're doing once you've got everything properly decrypted.

"if you know what you're doing" as in 3ds particulars, or ARM assembly?

Indeed. You guys are doing impressive progress on the 3ds scene :)

Progress is so fast since a couple of days.
That's awesome!

Hey, when people stop bitching over the lack of "features", work can actually continue. Thanks to the mods for removing all the crap from this thread.
BY THE WAY, THE FIRST SENTENCE OF THIS IS A JOKE... JUST TO AVOID CONFUSION...

Well done on the OP guys. Way clearer now.

Don't mind however long I have to wait for this. WiiU is currently my gaming life. Specifically Hyrule Warriors. I'm about 400 hours in.

Just... one wee thing. I have two 3DS consoles. One old XL on 9.2. And one smaller new 3DS on 9.0. Both UK consoles.

I have one copy of cubic Ninja. I'm most concerned about having them both running emunand, and transferring the data from the old to the new.

My specific concern is this. Will I need two copies of Cubic Ninja to achieve this? :)

After booting emunand, cubic ninja should be able to be removed and then used to boot the other console's emunand.

HOLY DAMN! HOW DO I COMPILE??? MUST TRY RIGHT NOW!!!

I don't even know what it is, it's not mine.

Ninjhax is a temporary entry point on N3DS for now, mostly because it's quick to debug (netloader) and it's kinda the only N3DS entry point available. Once you boot into emuNAND/CFW you can transfer the cart to the next 3DS which needs booting. As for transfer, we don't know yet. We haven't gotten emuNAND working as of yet, and that's what we're working on. Patching services lets us start working on other things like any sort of homebrew menu, and it also assists in getting us hooked into ARM11 so we can patch various services (nim for eShop on all firmwares, home menu for region free, etc). So it's still very much a WIP at this point, but each stride leads to a bigger one.

Can you guys not just spew random links because 'they might be related', please? Xerpi's work is great, but it's also not new and not currently relevant to where we are in our project. (The first firmloader was ever so vaguely based on eleven-arms, though)

The point of that was to get the other guy asking for linux off of this thread, sorry.

Thanks oishikatta. That's the answer I was after.

ShinyQuagsire23, I was aware of most of that, but like you said, every stride is awesome. It'll be great to have an entry point that doesn't depend on that game, but if it's the only way to open the door on N3DS, I'm glad I picked it up.

The progress you've been making is fantastic. Hope you all work well together and achieve your goals. With any luck, in a few months time I'll be using my New 3DS the way I've hoped.
