KARL team will hopefully manage to get us region free. I won't update my second 3ds just in case If they don't succeed.

There is no reason why Sky3DS cards can't be blocked. Sky3DS users are just lucky. Imagine the rage going on when Sky3DS is blocked permanently and users have to buy another card with a different colored button because of a missing card update feature.

when you put a game into a 3ds they talk to each other to verify its a legit game. the sky team seems to have found a way to rip that info and use it with their card. the question is where did they extract that info from. its very likely they got it from a retail game, quite possibly from multiple games just to make it tough on nintendo. i believe that's why Nintendo cant block it as retail games would be made useless in the process. they could block it and reimburse people and reprint copies but that cost probably far exceeds the loss they take from sky users.

Maybe they're just better hardware and software engineers than the Gateway team (which seems to never progress).

Are you talking seriously?

>better hardware engineers
>They released a second version of flashcard because the scene found the way to break the 10-games limit, they didn't

>better software engineers
>used Gateway Go exploit to launch RegionThree, developed by smea (not by them), to allow regionfree
>They're not able to give more functionality than a cartridge dump loader.
>Their flashcard doesn't have update function

I don't think so. Sky3DS is good at cloning hardware but not at software (*cough* 10 games limit *cough*) while Gateway has the better software engineers since their card is exploit based and has much more features.
