Hi AbdallahTerro:lol:
First of all, thanks for the application
question:
How do I can compile nintendont?
I installed devkitPro and manually copied the "portlibs" folder
I downloaded the source code.
I'm trying to compile using "programmers notepad" but I not know the file to make.
My intention is to erase these lines:

else if(UseUSB && TimerDiffSeconds(USBReadTimer) > 239) /* Read random sector after about 4 minutes */
{
DIFinishAsync(); //if something is still running
DI_CallbackMsg.result = -1;
sync_after_write(&DI_CallbackMsg, 0x20);
IOS_IoctlAsync( DI_Handle, 2, NULL, 0, NULL, 0, DI_MessageQueue, &DI_CallbackMsg );
DIFinishAsync();
USBReadTimer = read32(HW_TIMER);
}

My HDD does not go into sleep mode and I think this feature is not necessary
Thanks in advance :yaysp:

Official Toshiba page doesn't offer any tool to disable sleep mode?

ok
it doesn't belong here but it's only for testing purposes
default is Ping enabled every 2 minutes
disabled is optional (changed in updates and themes menu)

Thank you very much! :lol::yaysp:
questions:
Is this configuration saved? ... Wiiflow can activate or deactivate this feature?

it's saved yes unless you change it again, all loaders can use this feature but only nintendont can change it
dol: https://www.copy.com/s/vld1VAQMkz0uZSo1/boot.dol

for testing purposes default ping time is 10 secs
please see if changing the setting works as it should

Tested in Rogue Squadron 2 (easy game to notice reading random HDD)
Option "HDD ping to stay alive" = DISABLE
loaded nintendont = homebrew channel
RESULT: WORKS! :bow:
Question:
If I run nintendont in wiiflow ... the option of hdd will be activated? (original state)

thanks for testing
wiiflow will use the same setting as long as you are using this dol
can you please check "enabled" too
btw how did you tell that it worked? :P

I still do not get tested using wiiflow, the above test was starting the application of the homebrew channel xD
Now I tried with wiiflow and works too! :bow:

question:
for future versions .... this option be available?

I'll add it once I know if Option ("HDD ping to stay alive" = ENABLED) works too, you didn't check that yet
also I might need to add it to settings page instead of updates and themes page

This is awesome. In fact, if you can add an option to change the value (the amount of minutes/seconds) that would be even better because the sleep time is different for different brands.

Now, in order to test, the best game to test is Rogue Squadron 2 because its pretty obvious. When Nintendont pokes the HDD, you can hear a very noticeable "buzz" sound during gameplay. This is very anoying because in some missions you can literally hear that buzz every 10 seconds because of the poke.

So, if you disable th HDD ping and you hear the "buzz" sound in Rogue Squadron 2 during a mission, that means that it works because that is the expected behaviour. If you enable it for 2 minutes or more, that gives Rogue Squadron 2 enough time to load a file so you dont hear the buzz.

i think 2 minutes for the default is great, and to have a menu option to enable/disable the feature is even better. Thanks for this, we owners of Toshiba HDDs really appreciate this. :D

Got another small request

Can you make it where we can download save files from a repository from within the loader?

Specifically the ones in this thread
