ROM Hack Cannot add region free file to root SD card SKY 3ds

I have read SKY supports region free. I have Smea's file but cannot add to root of SD card. I can only access the SD card through DiskWriter. Does it need to be added through DiskWriter? If so, can some one give me some help with this appreciate it. Again if I try and copy and paste directly to root of SD card its says card is full but I have plenty of room on 16GB card.

Well it's supposed to go on the big sd card (in your 3ds). Not the micro sd card.
But Smea's region free is for people to use without flash carts. So they can play a jap cartridge on a us system for example. Sky's region free is for any region Rom to be played on the cartridge.

the region free used by sky3ds IS smea's region free, iirc there is a build available that doesn't even need the file on the SD, it all done via the html, but yeah all you do is press the button until nothing appears on screen (meaning you have a out of region game selected....if you have multiple out of region games on your SD you will have to just blindly pick them) then follow the instructions to boot the game....from what i have read its ok, but it can be hit 'n miss with compatibility

thank you for the responses so that makes sense smea's file is copied to the 3DS memory card not the micro SD card located on the Flashcart. I will give that a try. I just got the Sky blue a few days ago maybe its has the region free built in already? I notice the few out of region games I have on the card come up blank when I cycle through. Maybe all I have to do is run the exploit at that point to launch?

yeah, when nothing shows up on screen run the regionthree exploit, but as i said, if you have more than 1 out of region free game, you will be taking a shot in the dark to know what game it is until you launch it

although you should be able to remember the order if you put them on the card in a specific order

I have a 16 gb for eu games Only. And a 4 gb for jap & NA. I think It is much easier to separate the games that way
