It looks like the entirety of the code base for a game is contained in one? rpx file? Not including all the library files also in memory, or loaded into memory on execution or however it works.

Has anyone done any disassembly of the kernel code as it exists in memory from the webkit exploit? Any insights? Interesting places to dump in memory?

Are kernel calls documented in the sdk? or somewhere else?

The Wii U is dynamically linked. So all the shared system libraries (.rpl) are already loaded in memory and can be dumped through the web browser userland exploit.

You can't dump kernel code from the userland exploit. You need to download download an update from NUS, decrypt it with the common key, extract the kernel.img and then decrypt the kernel.img with the ancast key.

syscall wrapper functions can be found in coreinit.rpl. You will have to dump the syscall table to map the functions in kernel code like I did.
 
My internet company installed a modem/router that I configured only as a modem and connected a belkin share n300 router with tomato firmware. The router cost 3€.

if possible, I'd like to avoid WiFi and do direct Ethernet connection; where I live, WiFi is very unstable and cuts out a lot. Not exactly ideal for one who needs to rely on the internet browser to use the Wii U exploit, stability is paramount.

If you can't make a router entry, just use either your linux or windows machine and share your connection. Than just use your /etc/hosts file and add a static entries for all the urls to redirect to 127.0.0.1. This is not hard people.

Except that doesn't allow you to use the RPC client, so assuming you don't want to use it anyways then yeah it's a good idea.

Not really possible either, a router would be the easiest, then to use a physical Ethernet connection. WiFi where I live absolutely sucks, my computer is plugged directly into a Ethernet/RJ-45 jack, while the other jack goes from the wall to the Google network box (which is their router/modem combo box). If I can get a router to go from the network box to the Wii U directly, I can avoid WiFi. Could I also use my laptop as well for the Wii U?

Um...this is actually totally possible as I've currently been doing it for nine months or so since the user exploit dropped. Since my host also runs my plex media server, I haven't lost any functionality and for anything else i'd use my Wii U browser, i can just add a static entry.

Too bad I suck at configuring networks. I still wish to avoid WiFi at all costs, if I can use Ethernet, I will, the WiFi here is so bad it would make most IT pros cry, it's that bad. Stable Ethernet is a must for Wii U exploits on my end, and I wish to use it without any problems.

If your computer is hooked up via Ethernet, that shouldnt make a difference. There will be a bit of latency, but the speed of the wifi would be totally dependant how good your wifi card is.

My setup doesn't exactly allow me to set it up that way. I have both a laptop and desktop, my desktop is directly plugged into a wall Ethernet jack, my network box is another room, about five feet from the Wii U, but the network box doesn't have any blacklisting capabilities in the firmware, so really, my only choice would be to get a personal router, connect it to the network box then to the Wii U via the USB LAN adapter. I refuse to use a WiFi connection for it, the speed itself is fine, the problem is the stability; there are so many routers in my complex they often conflict with each other because people can't set them up worth crap, so, I'm not going to even use WiFi. Ethernet or bust as it's helluva lot more stable and faster. Couldn't I just go with the router from the network box to the Wii U with Ethernet instead? That would be so much easier for me to do.

What I suppose you could do is take an Ethernet cable out from your router or modem (whichever has a line going out to your computer) and then hook the other end up to the LAN adapter on your Wii U and set up the network settings from there. Then just physically plug in/unplug the Ethernet cord whenever you need to use it. If you do it only when you need to the console wont have a chance to even realize theres an update ("quickly" is a bit of an overstatement... My little sister wanted to watch Netflix and set up a connection, which was on for a solid 15 minutes before I realized what had happened. I didnt even get a prompt to update)

Only potential problem would be bypassing the update nag, knowing my luck, I'd likely inadvertently update the bloody thing, the workaround would be to boot into vWii mode first then go into Wii U mode, even then, I'm still wary. Damn, how I wish the kernel exploit could be executed without the webkit exploit, but beggars can't be choosers. Actually, my desktop is connected independently from the network box and is connected directly to the wall jack, still part of the Google Fiber ISP yes, but no connection to the modem/router, not sure how it works but it does. I would still need a router connected to the network box, then to the Wii U so I can block the NUS servers from Nintendo. Unless of course there's an easier way to blacklist IP addresses. Google was stupid not to include it, so there's no way for me to use the exploit without risking an accidental update. Man, this sucks bollocks. :(
 
That's pretty vague. Are you having trouble building it or something?

Sorry. Builds fine. I enter a title id from the WiiU Brew page but get a not authorized. 401 unauthorized. TMD failed.

I'll prolly poke around some of these binaries before I try understand what syscall wrapping means.

The text box for the Title ID only takes the first 16 bytes entered.
So, if you paste the Title ID in with a "-"(dash/hyphen), you must add the truncated last byte in manually.
