Hacking Few Questions about GW Ultra

I cant find most of the answers in this threasd, but close this if needed

1) Can I downgrade without a GW cart
2) Do I need a GW cart to play JP Games on an EU system?
3) If i do, is there a.cia to allow me to?
4) How do I install DevMenu?
5) If i downgrade, will i lose all my eshop downloads?

Sorry for the noobie questions, just want to clear a few things up before doing this

I've got a few questions as well:

1. What are the pros and cons of downgrading to 4.5? I know one pro is that you can launch it without Wifi now, but that isn't a big deal.
2. What happens to save files?
3. I heard there was a problem with save encryption on 6.0 and lower, what are these save problems?

You get access to DevMenu where yoiu can install .cia files

Ifi m on 4.5, how would I go about playing games such as ORAS?

Also, if I were ot install a few CIA files on 4.5 then upgrade to 7.x, would the CIA styill be there?

why do that? why not format emunand, boot gateway mode, update emunand, format emunand, install .cia?

I dont have a GW cart yet, not till the end of the month
I am trying to find out what I can do with ULTRA before I get it, and it is looking like I can just install devmenu and .cia files (that include roms converted from .3ds?)

yes, however there are eshop dumps so no need for converters

The main games i want to play is the Attack on Titan and Inazuma Eleven Go 2, and i dont think they were released in CIA form so ill have to convert them?

Okay, I asked before but you didn tknow i didnt have a Gw so

it's not advised to install .cia on sysnand, it might brick

What you should do when Gateway arrives is:

1. Format emuNAND
2. Boot Gateway mode
3. Go into settings (VERIFYING 100% YOU ARE IN GW MODE)
4. Update while in emuNAND
5. Format the System while in emuNAND (This is to unlink sysNAND from emuNAND)
6. Then install your .CIA

Of course this is assuming you already have a backup of your sysNAND (You can already do that, just use the browser exploit)
