I managed to be here for years and only just begin posting on this thread pretty much.

On another note;
if I use a particular SD card in one 3ds, can I just put it right into another 3ds and gateway it up and have the same CIA's installed?

.CIA are installed to the console itself, but you could move the SD to another console and install it on that one I guess, I'm not 100% as we dont know about emunand yet etc.

Been here for 2 years and barely posted anything...
But you guys made me log in again. Nice... discussion going on here... :P

I think this thread is one of the more valuable threads. so many lurkers mad accounts, and so many long time accounts are just starting to post :D

sad to see this thread ending soon, but happy to see the results of our waiting :D We're almost there!

nope, when you install the game cia it installs a ticket to the nand, not only that, the content is encrypted on the SD card unique to the console it was installed on and theres more if the 9.x exploit includes emunand too, you wouldnt even be able to boot in to emunand mode on the other console as the emunand partition is console unique too

TL : DR, No

What a bummer... Well I have two 2GB SD cards and a 32GB one, I wish I could merge the 2GB cards together... - I guess I'll just use the 32gb card in my new 3ds when it comes and just make do with what I have until then, since I don't want to have to faff on with it.

New 3DS uses, mircroSD. Just to tell you.

Gee, I'll miss Ryanrocks562 soooo much. <eyeroll> Never felt the need so strongly to hit the ignore button in my life.

Ahem... I have a new 850w power supply and a new graphics card on the way. Should be here on Wednesday. I really hope the update and the tech don't show up on the same day. It'd be just my luck. New toys and I can't play w/ either of them because I'll be too busy setting up emuNAND (assuming the update includes it) on a handful of 3DS's.

The good news is I can finally stop feeling like a heel for giving some very ineffective paperweights to my friends for Christmas. :-)

You had better be right 2Hack or I'll blame you personally. :-) j/k

I can just turn my .3ds into .cia with the gateway right? I only plan on doing this with games I plan on playing online with. I.E MH4G, pokemon, etc.

But if you go to data management it deletes the .cia's right, along with the save data that was with them?
Okayyyy... it looks like Melon__Bread got to you. If you want online, just use .3dz. Converting to .CIA is literally a pain in the arse.

Now, if you still plan on using .CIA just for online, format your emuNAND.

What I mean is - after you create emuNAND on your SD, go straight to System Settings and format it (backup your content first if you want).
If you run a System Format on your emuNAND before installing any .cias, entering Data Management on sysNAND will have no effect.

I have a weird question . Has anyone asked via email directly where the team is located?

spoderman Are you making a "by the end of the week" video? Or no new vídeos until release? Put some fun in the wait!

I'm going todo sleep. 2:48 here. I wish that when I get up, the update gives me a "very good morning". Good night everyone

Yup I should have done that myself on my 4.5 3DS as CIA installs make gifts appear on sysNAND too so it's a bit annoying (x

Riiight, that I didn't know... LOL. I guess I can just order another and have both 3DS packed with goodies ^^.

Does a 64gb card work fine in the new 3ds? (If I recall it requires to be formatted under fat32?)

thanks! since my n3ds is literally empty, I can just create a emunand of that, and format the sysnand, and begin to install .cia's. They do sound like a pain in the ass, but once I get the hang of it, im sure it won't be that bad.

Yeah I have a 64GB in mine right now, works great. I'd use this to format your card, if you are on Windows.

Nope, .CIA installs are console specific. Even if you switch the SDs, they'll be treated as different setups. The keys are unique to your console.

Edit: completely ninja'd :ninja:
