Is this a one-off bug or something affecting multiple games? Beetle Adventure Racing is one of those obnoxious games with Rumble Pak and Controller Pak support (they were even worse on hardware, so there's that). Hotswapping them doesn't seem to work, though. I played with Rumble for a while, then when the game asked to save, I switched back to the Controller Pak, but the game still says "Please remove the Rumble Pak and insert the Controller Pak." I've tried cancelling right out of the save menu and entering it again, but no dice.

I guess I'll test for similar with Snowboard Kids, that's another Rumble/Controller Pak game. Will edit with result.

EDIT: Snowboard Kids has no objections to hotswapping and saves successfully (not to mention that it runs smooth as butter now, very nice to see that).

General settings: Interpreter mode.
Audio: Limit FPS OFF or VI

faster than before but still not at playable levels

Hopefully more optimizations are in the works, there's so much potential and it really has gotten a crap load better, but some games like Pilotwings 64 are completely unplayable. Well, it loads up fine, but once in-game, vertices are stretched out, there's the shadow glitch the follows ya, Mystical Ninja 64 still locks up when you begin a new games. I assume that games will be eventually looked into and that core issues will be fixed...I think? Speed wise, it's incredible, but the games that have been broken for a long time are, well, untouched. :P

Is it better to turn the frame limit off?

tested MK4 >> froze
MK-Trilogy >> worked
MK-Mythology >> Still squeezed in menu and black screen during gameplay
with the old dol MK4 worked fine and other 2 games behaved the same.
It seems that the new dol has more freezing on Wii's.
hope the dev finds a good compromise between speed & compatibility.
keep it up :)

Did you try the hot-fix version on his site? I believe he fixed it for the Wii versions..I think.

Some more feedback for Extrems and anyone else interested:

- Tested about 140+ N64 games from my collection. Most of these ones in the list/pic are performing from perfect to playable. Some like Jet Force Gemini, Banjo Tooie etc need FB textures=ON. Others have a slight lag in places but nothing too big.
View attachment 13489
Finally, graphic plugin issues can occur in games like Quake 2 (see through walls for enemies and objects), Pilotwings 64 (characters' shadows), OoT (sun), Majora's Mask (sky sometimes, e.g. on the second day), Diddy Kong Racing (water strobing), 007 TWINE (weapon and hand of Bond are mostly invisible), Banjo Kazooie (untextured spots on characters or walls) but they are certainly playable!
Full speed 100% games are Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Automobili Lamborghini, Banjo Kazooie, Aerogauge, BattleTanx - Global Assault, Cruis'n World, California Speed, Diddy Kong Racing, Doom 64, Micro Machines 64, Mortal Kombat 4, Star Fox 64, Wave Race 64, Turok 1, Turok Rage Wars.

From the NYW (not yet working) ones:
- Some games like Body Harvest, Space Station Silicon Valley, MRC - Multi Racing Championship, Off Road Challenge only show half the screen when playing (but full screen in menus). This also happened in Turok 3 (interpreter) but a quick switch to "hi-rez" on its' in game options make the game fullscreen.
- Turok 2 and Turok 3 were booting on Interepreter mode with previous version. Now they boot and are faster but reset or freeze after a while
Doom 64!!! I loved that game as a kid :D. Time to give Not64 a spin i guess :)

It has come to my attention that the new releases for the wii64 emulator do not support wii remotes with the wii motion plus built into them. When I try to run the emulator the controller cannot connect. I see that Extremes fixed this with not64 which I am very happy about but in wiisx the controllers cannot connect because I guess it doesn't support Wii motion plus. Is there any way that Extremes can add the code he put into not64 into wiisx so that wii motion plus controllers will work? Because I bought the new Mario wii controller and it has the motion plus inside of it. I don't think that it can be disabled! HELP!

I have to disagree as far as Pilotwings 64 goes.
I wii upload a complete savegame with everything unlocked for Pilotwings 64 as well as a quick save (slot 0) if you wanna jump immediately into action (load rom->play->menu->current rom->load state #) to Holiday Island s Birman and see how it plays.

Also i will upload some Not64 complete saves and/or savestates for many N64 games for people.
See bolded text right above and right below on how to use those saves or savestates. Download and put into not64/saves/ folder. Also make sure to have the roms like the list pic here
http://gbatemp.net/attachments/1-png.13489/
Finally, best way to play Not64 is Audio: Speed:VI. If a previous savestate was made with Limit FPS Off and you now have Limit fps:VI or DL and you load the savestate, you'll have issues. Make sure to create and load savestates in the same settings (my settings are Limit fps:VI, Dynarec, video 16:9) and all else default.
P.S. (Banjo Tooie and Jet Force need FB texture on).
=EDIT=
Also, something that will make quite a few people happy: a complete 200% Donkey Kong 64 savegame for Not64!
https://www.sendspace.com/file/hqgbaa

It is a savestate (slot 0) so load the game, then exit to menu, then go current rom-->load state-->0 and then back into game. Nowe you can play all levels, nosses, all bonuses as well as the DK arcade!

But, when I played Pilotwings 64 last night, the game was a garbled mess. The game booted up fine, as did the menu, but when I loaded the first level on the jetpack mode, I saw the infamous shadow glitch and next time I load it, I'll show a screenshot. You are using the most recent Not64 build, right? The one released on the 26th? I sure as hell didn't see it as playable and the audio was choppy. Then again, why should I bother reporting bugs on here, not like the developers care about them. I'll screencap the in-game mode later today :P Could you provide an in-game screenshot of how it looks? I get a garbled mess with polygons poking out and choppy audio, using it on Wii U.

Mystical Ninja 64 still locks up after starting new game. Bomberman 64 doesn't boot, Hybrid Heaven still has the broken ladder issue where the camera locks up, (pretty much all Konami games refuse to play properly) A lot of games still lock up/refuse to continue past menu screen.

Edit: Better idea, I can record in HD (off-screen), but with that, I can show you what happens in-game.

I am on a Wii, version 26122014 of Not64 yes. If you use the savestate you'll see that speed is 90%+. Use 1st person mode to make the shadow not as annoying. Maybe it is a jetpack only thing?

Ah, no need for this attitude, i mean Extrems came through for us, regardless of what Wii64 team is up to. It would be ungrateful to start complaining.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm very happy that he released an update and many games run a crap load faster/more stably, first person mode? Hmm, never thought of that, I'll give it a whirl. I'm not ungrateful, I was just wondering of those problematic Konami games would ever be resolved, that's all :P Hmm, maybe I send a PM that elaborates further...

What about this problem with the wii motion plus controllers? Has anybody gotten them to work with the newest version of wii64 or wiisx? Because it is really annoying since I just bought a brand new controller and it won't work with the emulators. If Extremes can implement some code into wiisx to fix the problem with the wii motion plus controllers that would be great! Thanks!

Good question! I would like to know about this as well, because the forwarder for the wii64 works if you rename the Not64 app folder as wii64, but hten it randomly crashes after a while. It would be great if there was a forwarder for the Not64.

Oh and also Happy New Year Everybody! :hrth::ha:

after playing through more games i can confirm the analog issues with the CCPro aren't an isolated problem. whenever you press straight downward it registers as upward instead for some reason

I use my Black wiimote with motion+ included and i have no issues whatsoever with either Wii64/Not64 or WiiSX.

Any forwarder out for Not64 ?

Thanks

Here is a forwarder for Not64, attached to this post.
It forwards to /apps/Wii64/ (so place the not64 boot.dol there, it is better that way) and /apps/Not64. Then place the roms in /Not64/roms/ and the savefiles in Not64/saves/ No crashes or issues whatsoever using this from USBLGX or Wii menu.
