Hacking Gateway 3DS working on the New Nintendo 3DS.

That doesn't make any sense when the best way to alleviate load on their servers would be to release the update ASAP. They don't host the downloadable files themselves, and people are already constantly refreshing the Gateway website.

Server issues? Seriously? They can find and exploit where no one else can but can't post a file on a server? Seriously?

If the new exploit is a QR code hack like Smealum's SSPWN/Ninjhax, it may require an online payload to run - which obviously would not be as simple as just hosting a file.

It work like this, when you sell product of a brand, the brand tell you infos before they tell it to customers so ressellers can make their communication right, time before products comes out, it's logic...

I caved and ordered a Sky3DS. Whenever Gateway releases their 9.X support, I'll switch back to GW. But I want to be able to play my N3DS already. Wishing I had done this a lot sooner... :/

how would that payload work ? i'm guessing to update the gateway card, but does gateway even show up or do anything if you put it in a later FW system? you would have to be running some sort of software for QR code stuff. and the whole point of the update is to get it running on later fw in the first place.

its obvious they notify resellers because they also have to update their websites to include the new information as soon as the update is released.

Resselers still put whatever they want on their shop, rumor or true info its not gateway fault if ressellers post rumors as straight infos for having more people buying their products.
Logic Sunrise store is a store from the most accurate / famous underground video games website news in france, they always check infos before posting them, i kinda trust them.

The "QR Code" exploit is just an entry point; the payload is downloaded after. Gateway could have another entry point that has nothing to do with QR Code scanning while still requiring a payload to be acquired remotely.

How is it relevant whether that news is fake legit anyways?
If it's legit: Great, they finished the Firmware, but heaven knows how long it'll take to fix those "website issues" (This is kinda fishy...)
If it's not: The news provides us no release date whatsoever other than soon.

In the long run, nothing's changed. If the news is real we are still not much further than before.

It's good to have the best of both worlds. It only sucks cuz I'm locked to Japanese games for the time being. Not really complaining. Seeing what I remember from OOT helps pass the time.

In my opinion you've waited too long. There's a good chance GW will release the update at or soon after New Years, which is probably when your Sky3DS will arrive (if you decide on a US retailer). If you have the money (or your too skeptical about GW) then go for it, but if your on a budget then it's a bit too late to buy a Sky3DS.

you wont be disappointed if its the blue button one, strait forwards and works perfectly, backup your saves etc
