So if I order the super smash new 3ds LL, it comes with 8.x and hopefully i get it before 9.3 comes out.?

no one knows but personally i would not risk it as nintendo could release the next update before you receive your console.
my jap 3ds should be here in 3 to 4 days & i'm already panicking as it's still on 8.1 (new sealed).

mine would arrive on wednesday and i ordered the past monday (hope to don't get f*cked in those two days!!!)

Hey guys, longtime lurker here - finally made an account. My Gateway arrived this morning, and I've got to say that actually having the card makes the wait so much worse!
WELCOME! :)

yes well that happens. what N3DS model did you go for? JAP N3DS? JAP N3DS XL? AUS N3DS? AUS N3DS XL? or did you not upgrade?

What I can't believe is that they used Super NES buttons on a new handheld, and didn't call it the Super 3DS.

Nintendo doesn't exactly have the best track record when it comes to naming consoles or game titles. Wii U, 2DS, Super Mario 3D World/Land, Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, Super Mario Advance series... just to name a few. Not to mention the C-Stick and the Z buttons didn't exist on the SNES. I think New 3DS gets the point across to consumers. The need to know this is a new and improved 3DS. The Wii U probably would have sold better if it had been called New Wii HD. Sometimes it's easier to just spell things out for the average consumers lol

Welcome! Allow me to be the first to say; your name sums up the 3DS scene right now.

Riiight. New Nintendo 3DS though really?

Scenario 1

consumer at game store: Hi, Do you have any new nintendo 3ds units?
game store employee: Yes we do
*Shows a 'New' nintendo 3ds"
consumer: I thought there was a new one? this is an old one
game store employee: No.. It's new. Oh you meant the NEW Nintendo 3DS? like.. the new unit as in a new model of the old unit?
consumer: uhhh.

<insert 10minutes or more wasted on explanation>

Scenario 2 (When N3DS exclusives/games come out)

consumer at game store: Hi, do you have any new nintendo 3ds games?
game store employee: Yeah we do
*Shows "new" nintendo 3ds games
consumer: No I meant.. NEW nintendo 3DS games. Not... new... nintendo... 3DS games. OH WHAT THE HELL NINTENDO?!?

/endplay

Scenario 1 can be applied to any situation regarding accessories, etc.

I mean. it doesn't hurt to spell it out. but it isn't exactly idiot proof.

Playstation 1>2>3>4
Xbox >360>One.
Wii > Wii U (fair enough)

even the gameboy line had SOMETHING to prove advancement.

this one just states that it's New. Yeah.. as if anything ever stays "new"
