I'm going to get hated for this but I've been spoilt by the OLED vita screen so either the 3DS or XL isn't really an issue.
I don't hate you

So if I order the super smash new 3ds LL, it comes with 8.x and hopefully i get it before 9.3 comes out.?
WELCOME!Hey guys, longtime lurker here - finally made an account. My Gateway arrived this morning, and I've got to say that actually having the card makes the wait so much worse!
What I can't believe is that they used Super NES buttons on a new handheld, and didn't call it the Super 3DS.

yes well that happens. what N3DS model did you go for? JAP N3DS? JAP N3DS XL? AUS N3DS? AUS N3DS XL? or did you not upgrade?
Does the Monster Hunter 3ds from japan come with 9.0?
I'm about to buy it but I gotta know if it has 9.0 since itll take two weeks to get here
Nintendo doesn't exactly have the best track record when it comes to naming consoles or game titles. Wii U, 2DS, Super Mario 3D World/Land, Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, Super Mario Advance series... just to name a few. Not to mention the C-Stick and the Z buttons didn't exist on the SNES. I think New 3DS gets the point across to consumers. The need to know this is a new and improved 3DS. The Wii U probably would have sold better if it had been called New Wii HD. Sometimes it's easier to just spell things out for the average consumers lol
just mail them and ask then! It's a used console, so I'm hoping used means its been updated.
