Hacking Gateway support for Firmware 9.0 – 9.2 Coming

Yes, gateway has full kernel access, secure boot chain is broken, TWL_FIRM is fixed, they have a Wii U and PS3 emulator, and can even upgrade your 3ds to the new 3ds with no extra hardware!

Ah so that's why they didn't make a video, they are preparing a whole season with each episode showcasing one of these new features

The longer this thread goes on, the more I get the feeling, that most of the guys in here are completly new to the whole "exploit/rom/hacking" - what ever you want to call it - scene. I mean, how long has it been since it has been announced that something is coming? 1 week? How long have you been waiting for this? 1,5 years? I mean, is it too much for you, to simply wait and see? Even if it takes 1 month or even 2 (which I highly doubt), it still very little compared to the waiting game before.

I mean, if you look in the past and on other consoles. You know how long it took the PS3 to get opened? Almost 3 years. The PS Vita has yet to see even a native Vita Exploit (everything, that existed, was only a psp kexploit). And the same applies to many consoles out there. If you are not a developer/hacker yourself, your only task is to wait, is it really too much to ask for? Everbody is loosing his shit here just because they haven't released a new statement allthough it has only been one week, which is nothing, compared to the waiting game you have to play when you compare it to everything else, that has hapened before either on the 3ds or on other consoles.

Just grab yourself a beer (or a juice, if you are too young - which probably applies to many) and wait. Check every few days and you will certainly see, when something new happens - believe me, it is better for your mental health.

You don't need any in depth analysis just logic. GW only works on 4.x and soon on 9.x with a kernel exploit. Sky3ds on the other hand works on all firmwares. So which one is more probable, that they found an exploit in EVERY single firmware or that it's basically just an overpriced ODE?

optical drive emulator.....what the wii,xbox360,ps3 have ....basically it emulates the dvd drive so you can play iso's and they load as if you have inserted a disk into the console

SKY3ds is $80 dollars, +/-$20 dollars more than the Gateway, which is +/- $65.

What you said works really great on paper, really great. It was woven with logical and reasonable sentences but, there's just one problem you can't deny. None of us (as in humans) are very prone to logic and/or reason. We're rational, yes, but even then that sometimes illudes any single one of us.

It's not that some of us are new to the scene (in my case, I've been at this for years, so I know exactly what waiting means) but you can't go against the power of statements.

Gateway for a long time has betted on it's support in 4.5 firmware and 4.5 only. It has NEVER (to my knowledge) stated support for 9.x until NOW. There's a difference here. What was said, and what wasn't.

Everyone's been waiting patiently, no one really batting an eye because.. Well.. Gateway or any other card team ever said a thing (let's exclude Sky3DS). But NOW Gateway announced 9.x support. It's like when you're a kid, and you spend your whole time waiting for christmas/birthday, but you never really think about it because it's so far away. Suddendly, your parents (or what have you) tell you christmas/birthday is near and there's a gift or two in that christmas tree just for you.

And that's just what happened to me and thousands of others who thought 9.x (or later) was somewhat of an impossibility and put that chance in a drawer far, far away. We've all got a little, impatient kid inside of us.

So.. I'm certain I speak for some when I say we know it took AND will take time to develop this new, exciting possibility.

With that said, I take your beer and raise you two more. Despite the cold weather, it still feels good.
