Hacking Gateway support for Firmware 9.0 – 9.2 Coming

Nah, I know how to be careful about firmwares now lol. I just updated my formware back in the day without even thinking about getting a gateway at the time.

yeah general rule of consoles now if you ever plan to use any possible hacks is check first and wait, wait and wait some more, i saw the notice on 3dbrew to stay on 4.x before gateway was even announced

kinda sad as i was going to buy mario kart 8 for wii u but seeing as they blocked online unless you update they can shove it

Wew. So much happened in past days. At first I was tempted to buy a sky3ds. Now gateway will have their own solution coming. I will wait a bit more and see what is coming. Seriously, a gateway cart is cheaper than the sky3ds right now. So why not I'm patiently waiting more news.

its limited to 10 games ever....there is a sort of hacky bypass but it requires a load of messing about and risks you loosing your saves and having to copy the games on again.....basically people want MOAR!!

Darn I don't know what to do. I also have a black/black 3DS XL that's on v5.1.0 (that's what it came with) and works just fine with my DS TWO card. Updating to 9.2.0-20U will break that, and I might just get a single-game flashcart back (like GW originally was)... but I only have time until Ninty decides to release 9.3.0 to decide...

DSTWO works on 3ds, I can confirm that because I own one and I am on 9.2-0-20U

Just read about the gateway brick code somewhere. It's old news but they did, at one point, try to brick people for using competitors.

The DSTwo works perfectly fine with 9.2.0

Knowing Gateway, their release will probably be able to support more than 10 games on FW v9.X. Not to mention the Gateway is cheaper (and 100x better) than that sad, overpriced Sky3DS.

Thanks! Going to update; was saving it for smea's user-mode exploit but what the heck might as well make sure it supports GW.

As much as I want to hype up for this, I just feel like there's no true exploit other than what the Sky3DS is using, so I think we're going to be limited to 1 game per microSD. However, on the flip side, even if it only had 1 game per MicroSD, it's still a hell of a lot better than being restricted to 10 games total. At least with this I can indefinitely switch games on the same micro, or something.
