yellows8 confirmed it was made for 4.1, so should work for every version 4.1-4.5.


It's referring to the ROP multiloader, which is currently the recommended ROP installer, lets you install four different ROP profiles, Gateway, 4.x Launcher, 4.x MsetForBoss, and 6.x Launcher. It's in the homebrew sticky.

Oh, well. It finally worked with my dumped and reinserted emuNAND. Then I found out my wifi wasn't set up so I had to do the whole "restart until it works" cycle again.

I followed the hex editor instructions, and a bunch of garbled items and folders showed up on the fat partition. So I guess I did it wrong.

You can dump carts using Gateway's launcher, and, if anyone posts instructions for extracting and repacking ROMs as installable .cias, play games that don't need a firmware newer than 4.5.

Does DevMenu persist even after the gateway exploit is reset? (aka, you go and play a DS game or if the console is shut down and rebooted)

It it does, it would be assumed you'd have to reinstall it if you visit the eShop, which of coarse you can't do anyway on a 4.5 console since it would cause a update prompt.

It stays, but trying to launch it or mess with it in the data settings on your sysnand will delete it.

Is the ctrclient meant to be ran once the emuNAND is up and on the system menu? Am I doing it right?
- Restart 3DS about a million times and try to enter the DS profile exploit until it works.
- Turn on Wifi switch, wait for it to connect.
- Run ctrclient to install
I've only been able to attempt ctrclient once, and it failed to connect, like everyone else.

Which side are you describing? The "Devs"? If so, that's a good way of putting it.

Correction: I got the Wii U in November 2012, I got a new Nikon camera for my 3DS And yes, I'm beginning my search for a 4.5 as we speak. But thanks for thinking of me.
