Hmm, this sounds like the very same issue I'm currently dealing with I mentioned a few pages back. Me, MassiveRican, fledge68, and abz all tried to pinpoint this matter. However, my wiiflow.ini file looks fine. How can you tell if it is corrupted? I'm really hoping this is the issue as I would love to 'flow again.

I'm not sure how to tell if it is corrupted or not, however deleting it, and letting WiiFlow create a brand new one, seemed to fix the issue, then I added all my customizations back from an older backup version I had.

PS: ..But copying my backup wiiflow.ini directly over also did not fix the issue, I had to let Wiiflow create a new default one first. [Hope this helps you.]

It is my speculation that WiiFlow may have changed the way some settings are stored in it's .ini and the old method was causing an issue when trying to load it, but I have no facts or proof of such.

I'm having an odd problem. I installed wiiflow with no problems, backed up my GC and Wii games to an external hard drive and they all run fine. But whenever I try to play an older game, i.e. on the N64, or SNES, my saves are lost. If I use a standalone emulator the saves work exactly like you would expect. Has anyone experienced this before? I have the wiiflow app on my SD card and all my roms are on an USB attached hard drive.

FIX94 I know you're busy working on Nintendont and all, but if you should have a free moment could you please look into the errors I've been having with Wiiflow? (1076, not ABZ mod)

First, this has been plaguing me for a while: In my Wii games, I have one game that's listed twice. I delete one, and they both disappear. Afterward, a different game is doubled. I think we had this problem before and it was fixed.

Second: I've been having a cover caching problem where covers will cache with a black cover, some covers that were fine to start out with end up either with the top half of one cover and the bottom half of another, or just "snow" (like on an old TV with no signal). Other times, the covers will appear with a glitch that looks almost holographic. Just recently covers wouldn't even cache at all. When I tried to download it manually, it said "Out of Memory"

I think I've narrowed it down. I went back to 1073 and the glitching stopped. This was right before you updated wiiflow to the latest devkitppc and latest libogc. Please look into this.

looks like im the latest victim of the wiped hard drive.

all i did was use clean rip to copy a gamecube game. then started wiiflow and did a cache reload. the game showed up so i downloaded the cover and went into settings to set the NMM mode. backed out and started the game. Nintendont started but not in autoboot mode (showed sd: or usb). I thought that was weird so used the start button on my gamecube controller to exit and it said returning to loader. but instead of wiiflow it went to the wii menu. i used the wiiflow forwarder but it didnt work. i turn the wii off and on and wiiflow didnt auto start so i tried the forwarder again and again it didnt work. so i took my hard drive to my pc and it shows the right drive letter but i cant access anything. windows just wants to format it. the drives properties show it completely full (not empty) but yet the byte count for full and empty are both zero.

I have a lot of games on another drive but theres a lot I dont have. its gonna be a long slow process to get back to where i was. im not blaming anyone. obviously these homebrew are use at your own risk. just want everyone to be aware and BACK UP your hard drive. It would be great if someone knows what caused it and could fix it but I doubt that will happen so just BACK UP your stuff.

note i was using Abz's 1054mod. no blame on Abz though. not even sure if it was wiiflow or nintendont. hmmm at reload cache the games were there but sometime after that something could've happened to the hard drive and thats why nintendont didnt autoboot when wiiflow launched it but nintendont was on the hard drive so it wouldnt have launched to begin with.... just thinking out loud. By the way i still love wiiflow and nintendont and plan to continue to use them once i get everything back. so lets not start trying to scare any off just be aware and back up in case something like this happens to you.

I had a 4TB drive that got wiped but I have backups of everything so it was no big deal.

I believe it was one of the old console game emulator channels that didn't like the 4TB drive.

I have everything setup as a single FAT32 partition but after the 4TB wipe I put just my Wii games on the hard disk and now have all my old school games on SD.

Every once in a while one of the cache files gets screwed up and Wiiflow freezes. Its conceivable that if the routines that manage the graphic cache files can corrupt memory if the cache files are screwed up I could see how a write could screw up the directory structure.

I recommend scrolling through your collection and if it freezes during the display of the cover images to delete your cache files and all images and then redownload them all.

bostonBC Have you noticed any of my issues above when using 1074+? I've tried on two different SD cards now with the same results. But after reverting to 1073, my cover corruption goes away.

I've had weird stuff happen every once in a while with cached images. I end up deleting them (images and cache) and redownload. That fixes it for a long time.

I've been using 1076 for a while now and recently deleted and redownloaded everything and it's working nicely now.

I found that if I use the retroarch SNES emulator the save will remain after a power cycle but when I use the SNES9x then it looses the in game saves. Does anyone have any idea why that is? Also how can I change the save locations for the emulators? I see in the .ini files that I can change the rom directory, and the cover directories, but whenever I try to save the ROM state it complains that it cannot find the directory. In the actual SNES9x emulator I can change all the save paths, but in the Wiiflow integrated SNES9x emulator I cannot find any of these options (I'm hoping that's why my in game saves are being lost for some reason). Can anyone point me in the right direction for these problems?

I have made the exact same question in the Nintendon't thread but it seems that this is mostly a Wiiflow problem.

Does anyone else have problems with Wiiflow forcing 480p in PAL Gamecube games using Nintendont? It seems that Nintendont always displays at 576i/480i whatever setting I choose.

Driver SF black screens after the first level unless I launch it from neek2o mode. Was there ever a fix for this?

How can I get the Source Menu Autoboot function to boot with Neek2o? I thought that just having the option set on the channel I want to launch would be enough, but it just boots through real nand. If I try it from neek2o mode, it works fine.

Either that, or can someone please explain how to autoboot homebrew apps?

Hi folks. I'm using the latest Wiiflow with NEEK2O. Right now Wiiflow boots to the source menu with the Wii disc backups. I want to boot it directly into the VC/Wiiware source menu, since that takes much longer to load. Is there any way to do this? Thanks.

Just a quick one, I'm running wiiflow from a drive with ustealth on a wii-u and it works fine, except the ftp server doesn't see the usb drive, just wondering if a ustealth patch got missed from the ftp functionality?

Hi all, I'm looking for some help.

I'm tearing my hair out trying to get EmuNand working. I took a non-modded Wii and softmodded it using ModMii. Everything seems to work other than nand emulation and I can't for the life of me work out why.
I've install UNEEK+DI with ModMii. I've tried premade nands in WiiFlow, extracted my own and every time I try to load any channels I get a black screen and then after a while it comes back to WiiFlow. I also am unable to get Neek2o to work on either of my Wiis. It always just hangs at nSwitch at "Reloading bootmii IOS!"

Am I missing a correct ios or something? I installed everything that ModMii told me.

I imagine some of you have some wonderful Wiiflow collections that took an age to put together, so I have to wonder whether Wiiflow mature enough to deliver a Coinops type experience?

I'm imagining a Masterpiece style download with optional 'packs' that have all the covers and ROMSof the various systems ready to go.

Oh hell, I'll stop beating around the bush, I'm imagining a 'Complete Wiiflow' delivered the same way as the 60GB Coinops pack is delivered. ;-P

When compiling r1076, is it meant to be done using the latest devkitppc (as of now r27) and the latest libogc (as of now 1.8.12) or should specific older versions be used? I'll say that it does compile using the latest versions I mentioned but wanted to know if the programmer meant for other versions to be used.
