Dump/download your ROM again (I am not sure if ROM is the correct term for card2 games but I think you get what I mean)

I had thought so. Without going into too many details, the Gateway uses a different saving encryption for games requiring firmware 6.1 or higher. Because of this, if you played Pokémon on a legit 3DS, it'll use a newer encryption key than what Gateway uses, and that is what causes Gateway to see the save file on your Pokémon game as corrupt.

I just want to clarify so I don't mess things up; When I first got my Gateway, I had...
- Installed Gateway Omega 2.4b
- Updated my emuNAND to GW3d 9.0.0-20U

So now that Gateway 2.5 is out, with support for Emunand 9.2.0-20U... To update I would only have to;
- Replace the old 2.4 version of the Launcher.dat file with the new 2.5 version
- Boot into GW3D EmuNAND, and update just like I did to get from 4.X -> 9.0.0-20U emuNAND?

I'm pretty sure I read the procedure here for updating from Gateway Omega 2.3 -> 2.4, but I can't currently re-find it. So I just wanted to make sure since this is the first time I'm updating the Launcher.dat and whatnot.

Is there any guide for decrypting 7.x roms? I have the files released by VOiD, the 7.x keys and the romfs.xorpad of a rom I want to decrypt but have no idea what to do with them.

Why you want to decrypt a rom?

Just a short question: When i dump one of my retail carts - the game itself, and it's save (over the GW Menu) - it is still impossible to use the save with the rom on the Gateway?

You can only run DS mode flashcards with this.
Or pray Sky3DS is real and works and are willing to shell out the money for that.

Yes, make sure you are in EmuNAND mode on the newest firmware version. I'll reiterate: You have to be on EmuNAND!
Then go to the eShop and search for the Pokémon patch there. You should be able to download it freely without needing an account of sorts, since it's a free update.

I tried to run Shovel Knight on my Gateway, and I got msg "this service not available in your region"?!?

Its very weird cause GW is region-free, I dont know why this happened?

right, i have a few questions;
is there a section of the forum for gateway users to share fcs, to play multiplayer using roms?
i would like to play some ssb with other people to learn the game hook up with some fantasy life players, and maybe some other games like monster hunter.

secondly is it possible to to get dlc the NSFW way? a simple yes or no is fine, i dont want links to material.

lastly im wondering if its possible to make virtual console roms, using the gbc rom and encoder or somthing similar?
im asking this last one because i have pokemon crystal Vconsole rom in 3ds format, and its caption was "nintendo wouldnt do it, so we did..."

Sometimes when launching Gateway it'll just get stuck on a black screen and I have to hold down the power button and try again, It's happened twice now, out of I think 6 launches. (Only got Gateway yesterday)

It's a bit disconcerting, what can cause this?

It seems I fixed my problem, by setting country to Sweden, ( before it was set to country where I was born). Funny thing, even if GW supports all regions, Shovel Knight can be played if "wrong country" is selected

I am a new GW user also, and yes like you said it happens, and I don't think that anyone knows to fix it.
I read somewhere that "transferring"to emuNAND consumes a lot of CPU power, and black screen want disappear. I get it like every 15th time.
So just ignore it, if posibile.

ive not had this issue yet and ive been in and out of emunand about 13 times so far that ive counted

I read on the other forum it happens from every 5th to every 20th attempt. So keep waiting, and its gonna happen once ( and then again on the similar number of attempts). Nothing serious, though.

Edit: according to 3d-flashcard.com it says under R4i-Gold EU 3ds Card
"R4i-gold eu marked with “v6.1” can support 2DS/3DS(XL) v7.1.0-14 perfectly. you can update your kernel to 1.68b"
Too so now I am very confused

Works fine with Gateway 3DS running emuNAND and the latest 2.0b2 launcher.

Note that it says here Gateway 3DS running EmuNAND. This means that the Gateway EmuNAND supports system firmware 7.1.0. (At the time of that post. Now it supports up to the latest 9.2.0) But your actual 3DS firmware still needs to be 4.1-4.5 for Gateway to work.

Ah...This again...Well thank you for your help. Just to my last question about the R4i-Gold EU 3ds Card. It says that it can support higher firmware. But that is listed on the sellers website
