Hacking 3ds black screen after gw nand update

Hi, i currently have ver. 4.4.0-10E everything works fine and after updating in the gateway mode, i have black screen. After the update it says it needs to restart, so i allow it and it goes back to the sys nand when i try to boot into the gateway mode i get black screen. What is the cause?
I use 4gb fat formatted sd-card in the ds, red car is formatted to exFat.

Keep trying sometimes it just freezes, if not try different sd

If you updated your emunand it will be on 9.0 and that is not supported by GW yet. That is why you get the black screen. If you have a backup of your emunand you can restore that. If not you need to go to the GW menu and choose Format Emunand to create a new one. That will be the same version as your sysnand. You can update that to 8.1 using the Smash Bros rom (hold D-pad UP when you enter GW mode and then start Smash Bros - it will tell you to update). You will lose all downloaded content from eshop by doing this but your only other option is to wait for GW to support 9.x and who knows how long that will take.
