Hacking Rom not showing up! (Gateway 3DS help)

So I just recently got a Gateway 3DS. I went through all the necessary steps to set it up, as well as backed up my Nand. I'm currently running Emunand on the latest update.

I installed a rom onto my 8gb micro SD using Win32DiskImager, then put it into the Red Cart and booted into Gateway Mode. However, the game does not show up! I've tried a few different roms with no luck. Did I miss a vital step or am I possibly using a bad brand SD card?

Use latest gateway firmware (2.3b) and don't use win32diskimager.
just format microSD to FAT32 or exFAT and drag-and-drop rom files into the memory card.

Alright. I formatted the card and I'm already on gateway 2.3b. I dragged a few roms right onto the root of the card, then booted to gateway mode. Do I have to do anything to get the rom menu to pop up?
