New Update:

It is not related to story since we have no translator working on it right now. But it is related to graphics.
Most of you saw that the screenshots contains some corrupted images, I tried to fix these and I fixed some of them now (Others are in-progress right now).

Some are in japanese since I couldn't find which nscr file to re-sort the image.

The second one is the Back Button below, as you can see, it is corrupted.
The first image has the corrupted one, the second has a button done by me to check only (The k is too funny). The third is the final change.

The last one is the Digitama Gallery Screen, as you can see below.
The first was the old one, the second is the failed case when I tried to replace the file from the older NCSR. The third is the final (note that it is old since the back button was still corrupted).

So, I hope that I can finish these graphics as fast as possible to show the final screen shots in the OP.

I have to ask, why does it say Digitama still?

The localised name is Digiegg.

Because Yugix prefers the name Digitama, we had a big debate over this a while back and it ended with him wanting to keep some of the names of things how they are in Japanese instead of the english localization.

Hello Yugix, I am Matthew, an ordinary Digimon fan from Canada. I see you and your teammates' efforts that are put into the translation of Digimon Story: Lost Evolution. I am very glad to see that there are still people out in the world who love Digimon and would like to translate Digimon games which other people can play! :D
I have a very small request, after the translation version of this game is released, can I share the ROM with my friends?
Good luck on translating this awsome game! Thank you!:yay:

After we're done the patch will be distributed globally.
Anyone can download and use it. You can share the rom with anyone, as long as its not on here because we can't distribute actual roms on GBATemp

About the legal stuff, there is an amount of time that makes a game public domain? Like nowadays we can share Atari roms without copyright problems?
Know that there is a time for rights over books and music, but what about videogames?

I know this is a little of topics, but at least is something to talk about till the patch is out =)

Hey Guys, I've been watching this thread since it started but I had a question so I made an account today.
As I have made it my Username, this is GENUINE CURIOSITY, I'm not trying to act malicious, and I definitely don't wanna sound entitled like anyone doing this for free owes me anything, in fact we're all in everyone working on this project's debt.

I just wanted to know what the reasoning behind not releasing a partial unfinished patch is? A patch that's got the translated names and menu's and attacks and things even if the story's not finished yet. For people who want to play the game, but aren't too concerned what the story is.
I know in the OP it says you're not going to do this, but I wanted to ask why.

Thanks in advance

To That I Think that Yugix will not be Deceived by Your Curiousity and Only Release the Patch when Everything is Ready even it Means that will Happen in the End of the World

If you've been watching this thread since it started, you'd know the reason.
Which means either you're lying or you're terrible at gathering information.

Have a nice day :)

Man I am glad to see this project is till going on. Out of the Digimon Story games, Lost Evolution was definitely the best. even better than Super Xros Wars which came after imo. Lost Evolution reminds me the most of Digimon World 3/2003 which was my favorite PS1 era Digimon game. So many similarities. Largely connected world, Gym Battles, The look of the over world. Lost Evolution took the best elements of Digimon World 3 and the first two Story games and meshed them all together. Add to that the best selection of Digimon and evolution trees in any Digimon game SO FAR. Keep up the good work guys. Glad to hear the story translation is at 60% now. Oh how I wish I knew Japanese. I would fully devote myself to projects like these. Lost evolution is my favorite Digimon game so far so keep at it you all.

To those growing impatient, trust me these guys are making great progress and it is surprising that this project has lasted this long without going under. Most fan translations die off after years of work even but I am glad we have a team that is sticking through no matter the pace. I have been following the translation scene sense the GBA days and what we have here all points to this translation being a good one that will see a release eventually.

The question is whether or not this will be finished before there is a remake or localized versions.
