If you look at the roster pic, you'll see that there's room on the top screen for exactly 5 more characters. That is probably what that's referring to.

I still can't trust it, because there were copyright claims on the videos. I await real confirmation. Duck Hunt Dog is bullshit and could have been a better slot.

Still, two Star Fox characters is not enough, we have a lot of Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Mario, etc, but no wonder Star Fox is more obscure, because well, we need more than two. At least there can be DLC. or modding The timing of the removal is too perfect.

I'm afraid that doesn't disprove if the leak is true or not tho. Sakurai may choose to remove characters, kinda wish Wolf was not removed. But the fact that most popular (or recent) franchises seem to have the most characters, well that isn't new sadly. So ofc, some of them will be left out. I even see ice climbers being cut as well. But I can see why duck hunt is there tho, it is generally a cult in video games.

To be fair Nintendo hasn't really done much with Star Fox lately. Honestly two is enough, I'd rather have someone from a franchise that hasn't appeared before like Isaac. (or the Chorus Kids people keep saying are in the game) And yeah Duck Hunt is a really well known game.

Why not? It's an ancient and iconic NES game and it should allow for some interesting moves. Bowser Jr looks rad as fuck too. If anything I'm not happy about Shulk looking like yet another Marth/Link. It looked like he even did a spin attack in one of the videos.
