In addition to emulators, which we're already seeing some of, i'd love to be able to use my old DS flashcarts.

Very this.

How about OpenDingux? B-)
I don't understand why people are so insistant on running Linux on everything including their pinguin-shaped vibrators. The system has poor hardware, it won't run Linux terribly well and it'll only waste resources - why do that for the sake of Linux apps which will still have to be ported or adjusted anyways when you might as well make equivalent apps just for the 3DS? It will save you time porting, sure, but in the long run it only wastes precious resources.

You shush foxi. Linux is a rite of passage for every new homebrew scene.
GBA interpreter, since the 3ds already has native support for gba games.
Is there a programming language called GBA? o.0
A Homebrew Browser equivalent.
I'm more excited for a Homestar Browser. :p

Fair enough, I'm just saying it's going to be proof-of-concept at best. Your average smartphone has more firepower than the 3DS as far as everyday computing goes, so why bother? Hell, the average smartphone probably already runs Linux. :rofl2: The whole point of homebrew on the 3DS is the fact that it's a console, so we do console-oriented stuff on it. :P

He probably means AGB_FIRM.

Reactions: Snailface
A easy and sweet sega saturn emulator. Then i will finally can play Sotn with Maria on the road, the city and the farm house.
And a 3dsflow for future roms could be good too.

A comic book/manga reader might be nice. Also some automated way to collect Streetpass data over the net, though I guess that's pretty tricky. Finally, tools for customising the interface and creating themes would be awesome.

The problem with a GBA emu (besides speed) is the scale filtering will be limited to bilinear, so it would look like crap. Like it is on the PSP/Wii emulators. The ambassador games which are always fullspeed have not just a sharp scaling filter but all the GBA and lcd imitation effects, like the dark colors, motion blur, ghosting, etc. Compare it yourself
