Hacking Wii U vWii not loading forwarders + Hackmii Scam Crash.

I think I know the cause of my problems. IOS 31-35 are clean v3608, I'm pretty sure they are supposed to be higher.
Also, I had issues regarding updating the Wii U, I fixed my IOS 58, it was downgraded as well... Then I could update.
Right now I Smash Stack into Homebrew Loader to do things.

And simply, I have the Hackmii Scam issue, which I believe is due to the same issue.

Check your IOS again. My 5.0 console revision is 3864 for 31-35.

The freezing scam screen has to do with modified IOS. Best to use SysCheck and post.

Oddly, 3608 for some reason rings a Wii bell. God help you if you installed Wii IOS. What programs did you use when hacking your system?

Yeah, My files for IOS30-36 are the wrong version, and I don't have a NAND Backup. I need version 3864.

And... I can't load Smash Bros anymore.... I guess I have to send it in to Nintendo now.
What's the chance they'd accept repairs?

I fixed the majority of the problem. I understand sending IOS files is not allowed on here. I went looking for a NAND Dump of the Wii U.
I found 1, that was removed.

Came back to check my IOS version, can't load discs... Definitely a Wii IOS on there...

They'll accept it, but be prepared to fork over the repair cost. Probably easier just to get a new WiiU and be sure to grab a NAND backup.

Did you install any CIOS before all of this?

Even if you have the files needed, you still need a vector to get them loaded from. With 36 and 58 most likely out of comission, 249-251 are your only hope for even loading anything.

Yes, that's how I could boot into everything via Smash Stack with a Homebrew Loader.dol
I'm worried they won't with that.

Well at least that's somewhat helpful. You can usually load up YAWMM on 249-251 and install the WADS that way. But that would be a lot of trial and error figuring out what IOS are gone.

How did you install those IOS anyway? PimpMyWii, etc?

Skyward Sword loaded.... I'm thinking it doesn't use IOS 30-36 though.

I don't know how I installed them in the first place, but I made the mistake of trying to write over them today.

Skyward I think is IOS56. Can you even launch SysCheck or does that just crash or hang

If I get some other chance to explot (If a method like Indiana Pwns would still work) I could upgrade to the most recent Wii IOS files. I can't load forwarders with them, but I can load Smash Bros.

I have no way to exploit, as Smash Bros no longer loads, and since this problem started, Homebrew Channel has never worked. And Hackmii Installer got stuck on scam screen.

Possibly, but I wouldn't even try. Hitting the system menu by accident would just cause a full-on brick rendering it inoperable and impossible to repair.

Worst case: You can send it to someone to fix it for you, or some repair shop that isn't Nintendo. Nintendo will take it and repair it, but you'll end up paying for it and they'll send you a nice letter saying why.

No clue, it really depends on the extent of the damage done. I'm assuming you can't load SmashStack anymore. Your best bet is to try one of the other exploits and just test to see if you can get YAWMM to load up without crashing. If that's possible, you could at least install the correct IOS.

Actually I feel pretty certain they wouldn't repair it. I have no way of transferring purchases to another Wii U. But either way, I think I'm done with homebrew for a while. There are safer ways to do everything I could have done on there.

Understood. I mean even I might be able to repair it if you can at least load up WAD installers, but your best bet is Nintendo. They'll definitely repair it, but they'll just send a letter with it explaining that they found 3rd party mods and that's not covered under warranty.

Oh right forgot, no NAND dump I'm assuming your WiiU is already past 4.0

Best bet is just find a copy of Indian Pwns, Batman etc and find out if you can even get those hacks to load.

If you can, then it's somewhat repairable. If you can't, send it to Nintendo.

I Wii U was stuck on the last version.. IOS 58 on Wii Mode was also outdated, that I fixed. I'm now on the newest Wii U Update.
I forgot about the Batman Method. Do either of those run on IOS 30-36?

Not sure as I don't own it. If it loads from the disc channel, then it runs off a valid IOS. If it black screens, then it's loading from one of the bad ones.
