Destiny Alpha

Did anyone get in? I did. And I know a few of my friends already got in, as well as our very own Devin and T-hug. I saw them on this morning and last night, respectively. I guess anyone who registered for the PlayStation alpha got it. However it did take me all night to download the 6.7 gig file.

Anyways I got a few... "screenshots" of me messing around in the citadel. The first one was just me sitting around. Yeah, there's a sit command, wave, point and...

dance. You can just dance. And if your friends dont dance, they arent no friends of mine.

I found a soccor ball... if you walk over it, you kick it. Talk about fun

After watching someone play it, it looks pretty good. Better than most FPS shown off.

Those are two franchises I couldn't care less for, best traits or no.

I don't know, I don't really get the hype for Destiny. It looks fine, I guess, but I'm just not floored away like everyone else seems to be. I'll probably end up buying it if all my friends get it, but only out of obligation.

Borderlands didnt really hold all that much water (since you know, Pandora was a desert) but Halo really delivered on the front of multiplayer for me. And this might be a funny reason to play a game, but I am really in Destiny for the exploration. The game is beautiful... And I love it. I just spent the morning wandering around looking at stuff, not ever messing with the objectives.

This has a hint of some games like Mass effect, Brink, Halo and Borderlands. Yeah its confirmed, this is not your average shooter, since the total costs was 500 million lol.

As for the game, love it! I haven't got a bad word to say about it. It's totally like a Borderlands, Halo Mass Effect mashup!

As far as anyone knows, no. There's no cross-platform servers for XBone and PS4.

Solid silky smooth 30fps -.~ Had no dips drops or glitches, screen tearing, nothing. And the Strike mission I did with 2 other players, there is a boss and a TON of enemies and it was no different to when nothing was on screen.

I chose Titan as I always go tank for my first build.
Tried to upload my video to facebook it took 2hrs and then at 99% said it had failed. I don't have a USB stick to get the file off of my PS4 so I'll pick up a cheap one in the morning so I can get the clips off it.

I am in the alpha too. From what I played its pretty sweet, you can definitely feel the bunjie heritage as you play. Graphics wise its pretty good and comparable to Killzone Shadowfall in terms fluidity and looks. I need to play a lot more though as I feel that I have only scratched its surface.

What Tom said, as far as I know there's no cross platform.
That being said I do plan on getting the White PS4 bundle at some point with Destiny so we can play then

ME TOOOO. When I saw they Sony was releasing a white PS4 with Destiny, something in my head broke. Like I just had to have it lol
