I'm not a developer, but SDK = software development kit (obviously). Not easy piracy kit. Not quick exploit kit. Nintendo doesn't make exploits, and they don't publish them in their SDK either. The Apple iPhone SDK is available for $100 per year. That doesn't mean that a developer who spends the $100 to get the SDK (or illegally gets it for free) can suddenly make exploits.

One, using this SDK is illegal, and two, it only helps with writing Wii U software. In theory it could be useful for developing exploits but it's probably not that exciting for any homebrew developers. On top of that, most of them have a sense of honor / legality that would stop them from using illegal SDKs.

The exploit has already been found.

But, nothing to stop them from compiling their own.

This will probably be useless.

This is useless, unless you're a dev.

shits already happening , and this is just a post that is to show "hey we've had this for a while , and there is more kooler shit to come"

I have a hard time not being skeptical to be perfectly honest. I've no reason to rejoice or even get my hopes up. :PB-)

understandable by the hoax's played before.

but now with the web hack and the Ukey, i am sure intrest in homebrew stuff will increase....
look even JoostinOnline , who is very against piracy, has developed stuff for vWii and is interested in WiiU , who's to say he doesnt port WiiCraft, and if hes fiddles around i am sure others will too

I don't really care if piracy ends up on the Wii U or not (and do confess I backed up all the games I bought for Wii and Gamecube), I'd rather much see Wii U apps such as better emulators (N64 and PSX specifically so ports of Mupen64 Plus and PCSX-R), media players, etc.

I would think that access to the SDK without an exploit to pull it from the Wii U FS itself would at least be semi-helpful in getting a glimpse as to how the Wii U's common functions work. A large, blinking sign, saying "Exploitable Area Here"? Probably not. But at least it would be more knowledge than we have right now.
Unless, of course, this is all common knowledge, or the Wii U handles tasks in a way that wouldn't make it very vulnerable to simply take shots at common software in the first place. Yes; the 30c3 mentioned how the browser had more significant hardware access than other software, which must be kept in mind, but it seems like any news on the Wii U front is good news these days. I'd love to hear what everyone else has to say on the matter, seeing how the talk so far has mainly revolved around compiling software to be run with an exploit that we don't have, and I don't believe it's been suggested that this at least gives us more knowledge of how the Wii U functions.

same here, and a bootmii like app to safe hacking :)
other interesting thing could be if someone creates a way to copy your retail games to a HDD, kinda like Devolution, I find quite unfair that digital downloaded games load quick while retail games not, in a game like Assassins Creed where data streaming is high it makes a world of difference, improving texture loading, geometry, framerate stability.

I wouldn't mind ISO loading so long as I didn't have to verify all the discs I already own ;)
