I found on my 2DS that all camera functions are tied to the left camera. If i keep my finger on the right camera, you never see it in any of the shots. I find this amusing because it still claims to have the 3D camera. Anyone else notice this on their 2DS?

The 3DS uses 2 screens overlapped eachother for creating the three dimensional effect, one for each eye. The 2DS is configured to use the left screen only, so the right camera which outputs the images to the right screen is not seen.

So are you saying if I viewed the image on a real 3DS you'd have my finger in the right picture?

2DS camera does take photos in 3D but in order to take possession of them you need to then transfer into a 3DS. I think this was advertised somewhere so people would know but I dunno, it's been time since then.

But anyhow, who cares about 3D it's all just a fad that didn't last for long.

You can also put them on your PC, like I did.
If your pc/notebook/mac/3d tv (or whatever you use) is capable of viewing 3D images (like using the Nvidia 3D Vision) you can still view those pics in 3D. It doesn't have to be viewed on the 3DS only :)

I just remembered! Where they advertise that it can be seen in 3D are while taking the photos on the 2DS the bubble comes up.

The other day I tried 3D glasses for a large 3DTV and to my surprise it looked fizzy, blurry anddispleasing. Well, we'll definitely get it right when holograms are a thing.

You do realize that it has only a 0.3 MP (640×480 pixels) only. So yeah, it will look blurry :)
But that doesn't mean that it doesnt work... because they do work :D
