I think Gateway is losing all its credibility. Seriously, I've been sitting here for months waiting for a long promised update and... nothing. I mean... c'mon, even if Gateway was the true innovators in the 3ds scene, now they are losing it all to MT card, for example. At least they have multirom, now they've got another update. What about us? Is this the way to run a business, even if it is a shady one as this one is?
Another thing, they said that they would ask for beta tester for their 2.0 final firmware. It's been a week and we haven't heard a thing of beta's or anything. Their communication really needs serious improvement.
At least regular contact with their clients wouldn't hurt anyone. Sorry for my first (and last) complaint about this but It just starts to really annoy me

i have bought a MT card, so i have multirom....I honestly after the last update of the GW team I have lost hope in FW 2.0, to be honest I never hoped for FW 2.0, because we were told only words in the last 3 mounth!

2.0 will come out and whoever sold/trashed his gateway will regret it.

I own a cyclods evolution, that is a ds flashcard. when the cyclops team disappeared, they simply stopped writing anything on the forum and replying to emails. not a single word for, I think, a year or maybe two (I don't remember exactly). after that, the forum's domain expired and even the last glimmer of hope was lost.
the gateway team made an update 6 days ago and replies to everyone's emails unless they get too many from a single person, after which they probably block that person. also they published two videos showing that two of the most important features work.
learn to be patient and you will enjoy life more.

Give them a break. They showed video of 2.0 in testing. They'll release it. It's just a matter of time. People are very quick to criticize these teams, but I imagine some of this stuff takes time. They are also sitting on a gold mine. If it means more money, they will update it.

It's not that I'm impatient. It's just that they promised us something they have yet to release the firmware. Also, their strategy is to post a video showing off their skills every once in a while and saying " it'll be soon! ". That's something you can't do, give people hope for something then take it away in the blink of an eye. I understand this is just a card to pirate games but c'mon. They've not promised this 2 or 3 weeks ago... it's months! But anyway... I just lost some faith in them with this bricking thing and this 2.0 situation.
Btw, I only sent them 2 emails... they never answered to any on them xD

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. They don't owe anyone anything. They do as they please - if you like, you buy, if not, you don't. You can request stuff for sure, give feedback too, but you can't make demands - why do you feel they're indebted to you and not vice-versa?

If we swapped out some of key terms so the subject matter is regarding a girlfriend, then it gets all creepy. :)

Did you ask Gateway why the hell dsiware doesn't work, and if it'll be fixed?

I did recently email them with details on how EUR region consoles can transfer eshop dsi games from emunand to realnand and asked if they can make it work on USA consoles. The sales person said they will look into it. :)

Well, we paid for a card that was meant to give us the opportunity to play pirated games. I agree that up until this point, this was accomplished. But just think about this for a second. While you paid for a service, you also paid for future updates, firmwares, etc. They never promised that their card would support firmwares higher that 4.5. But they promised multirom, for example, didn't they? In my opinion, that's where people have reasons to complain. I paid for a card that would be upgradable in the future. I just can't understand why they are taking so long, especially after so many " it'll be out soon "'s.

But that's just my opinion, I understand there are people with way more patience than I do :)

The way I look at it, someone has to actually come up with the code for it.

If it's so easy, YOU go do it, especially with thousands of people jumping down your throat every 10 seconds for being behind schedule.

Just be patient, seriously you guys are so immature right now. Go buy some legal games in the meantime to keep yourself satisfied. :P

I bought a Galaxy S1 from T-Mobile (they called it Variant or something) back in the old days, about 2 months after it came out. Samsung promised they will they will push update to fix the GPS problem, stating it's a software thing. After my purchases, Samsung/T-Mobile only pushed one update that doesn't fix anything. I don't know it would be Samsung's fault or T-Mobile's fault, but both of them are supposedly large enough to fulfill their promises. I even filed my complain to state attorney, and T-Mobile only provided me $10 discount on one of my bills and called it case close.

What would be really funny is if while they spend months adding obfuscation in the code to make it more difficult to reverse engineer and more code to brick other carts - the scene releases a homebrew loader and emuNAND that words off of the SD card effectively eliminating the market for 3DS carts.

I would laugh so hard at all the profits that they don't get because they were greedy f's.
