So while I was visiting my parent's house today, I found my DS Lite in my bedroom, apparently, still there after nearly two years lol. Games were still there too, so I took both the system and the games with me. Only problem is one, I wasn't able to find the AC adapter and two, the battery has undoubtedly deteriorated to the point where it will no longer be able to hold a charge that long, if at all. So, I feel like bringing it back to life if you will, the problem is, would buying a battery replacement kit and charger cost me an arm and a leg. Heck, I might even get one of those DSTWO cards :D

Make sure you dont get one of those crappy Chinese knock off batteries.

I'll be careful, are the ones in that link the official batteries? Or is the Nintendo store the only place to get them?

Nah they aren't chinese knockoffs, I've ordered from the seller before plus they have good reviews (BTW they chip from CA,USA). You can also check the reviews of the product. However, you can always buy this one since lenmar is the king when it comes to batteries: http://amzn.to/Mm4ejm

Dang doesn't come with the screwdriver that opens the back plate for the battery compartment (don't know anyone with that kind). I'll need to keep looking for a battery + screwdriver kit that is as good as that brand.

Edit: I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews on pretty much all the batteries on Amazon, saying they don't hold a long enough charge.

http://bit.ly/1jYe7yT - Alirii man, this should be perfect comes with screwdiver AND charger and it's made by eforcity which is usually pretty good.

Right, and again, I want to make sure I don't get screwed over. Not that I will at all, don't get me wrong, I hope the capacity is as advertised; some of those ones on Amazon are not 1600 mAh or 2000 mAh as stated. I'm just a little wary, that's all :P
