I was trying to get a backup of a game to work and saw a post suggesting I try running the game on an external drive. So I went into the game's options under Multiman and selected "external" for drive and the emulate bluray option and the menu screen froze up on me ... couldn't save or exit out. I rebooted my PC and now whenever I try to start multiman I see the multiman logo and hear the music but then it goes to a black screen and nothing happens ...

I think those settings messed up multiman somehow but I can't get back into change them ...

What do I do? Any help greatly appreciated!!!!

EDIT: Got it working again by putting a different game disc in the drive. Don't know why that made a difference but it did.

QUESTION: To run a game off an external drive can I use an NTFS usb drive if I select NTFS in the multiman menu? Anything else I need to do to prepare the drive?

If you want to play it off an external, you'll have to select the PFS driver in Multiman.
Other then that, just format it to NTFS

Personally, I'd go for a 1 or 2TB internal harddisk tho.
Looks way neater then external harddisks + its also a lot quicker then USB.
Only down side is that you'll have to either extract your discs with Multiman or copy gamerips to the HDD with a external HDD or with FTP.

are you saying PS3 games in multiMAN works to Copy/Load in NTFS hard drives?

Gonna try that :)
