Nevermind me.

Good job guys, hope mine gets bricked so I can use my raspberry for anything besides a streaming box xD

you mean the XXX ware thing? nope, was me, and meant serious (I'm a collector, and the internal development codename is "real pervert unbricker").

I would help people with their bricked 3DSes since I own an Arduino, but I doubt there are people with bricked 3DSes in my country:lol:

I have no idea if my arduino code can unbrick a console right now, because I had no test subjects with arduinos...

I have an arduino and a raspberry pi, but my 3DS isn't bricked :P

Also, what's the easiest way to desolder the game cart slot on the 3DS? I can't access the back of the mobo.

some users like kyogre are trying to make money of your work. He (or she) went to elotrolado (a spanish board) and offered an unbricking service in mexico. It's fun because he talks about eol being a BS, but he comes to try to make money.

Well, do with that information what you want. If everythings goes well, I hope someones makes a nice tut so your work can be public and not a free solution that you kindly share and other people try to make secret to make money of your free work.

Keep the good work up!

GW unbricking can be considered a service because it takes time to do the work. It is up to the individual performing the service to determine how much her or his time is worth. If some people want to volunteer to restore 3DS units for free that is great. I could run a unbricking service in my area if I choose, so could any of us here with the resources and experience.

Yes, thank you to all that have contributed to the unbricking effort, it couldn't be done without the great community we have here at gbatemp. This is yet another gbatemp community first!

It is great that we have a workable solution for the bricked masses, with a few refinements I am sure we will have a few great tutorials in no time at all.

Special thanks to ryuga93 & krisztian1997! At gbatemp we make the seemingly impossible possible!

i second the strangely dressed pokemon above me: doing the hw mod takes time and concentration. if you want to do it permanently you even need a few parts (some kind of connectors and an SD connector).

heck, if i had a regular 3DS i would be grateful to find someone who would do the fine soldering for me as i'm a "Grobmotoriker" (can't think of a fitting english translation for that) and would gladly pay him/her for doing it.

It was not that hard. If you scratch a bit on the little CLK point and apply solder, you can easily solder a magnetic wire to the point and that's not hard.

I think it is harder to solder the other points, because you can easily demage other things.

Where is the CLK point on the 3ds ? I took my console apart but couldnt find any intructions on the internet where to find that point on my console...

What the fuck is your problem? I have an arduino, voltimeter and friends who are electronic engineers. If one can have the chance to help others, it's logical to offer this help. If you have the skills to do this by yourself, then go for it, but this is not something that can be made "watching a tutorial", especially for systems like the original 3DS.

it would be nice if a bit of any money made by anyone who offers this service is sent to the original coders.....great work guys and if i do happen to fix any 3DS's and make a bit of money from it i will donate a bit........i wouldnt be making much anyway, just like £5-10 for my time and parts

I discovered your true intentions! You paid the GW-team to implent the brick code, just in order to earn money through fixing this issue ;)

You have friends who are electronic engineers, but only come at the point of making money. That's nice, it isn't?

Dude, if you have something against me, tell me via PM; you are being over dramatic about something really irrelevant.

rofl, are people complaining because someone is offering a service for money ?
Communist Russia fell a while ago people :P

i see people should just offer up their time and buy parts and help people and be out of pocket for it?
dont be silly, if someone can help someone who would have no way of getting something fixed otherwise i think a little tip would be appropriate, if someone offered to fix something for me and even said it was free, i would still give them something for their time and help stop trying to make drama where their is none and learn to appreciate when people help others.....help isnt always 100% free :wacko:its not likes its their fault you broke your console, atleast they can get it fixed for you

whats your other option...replace your console?

i think aslong as the guys who did the coding get a little cut.....everyone who helped then gets rewarded for their time and effort...nothing wrong with that at all
