Steam holiday sale 2013 sale started

Hey...wait a second. Wasn't there a steam sale a month ago? Why yes there was. However, it's like not everyone is having all the games in the universe yet, because...

Steam is holding a holiday sale starting now.


So erm...yeah. From now up until the third of January, games are (again) cheaper.

That game just got released, it's only 1 month old. Wait for the next sale and you'll have a good chance to get it -75%.
It's astonishing it's already -50% really, hasn't been out long enough.

Yeah. I mean if I can buy a Keyboard for the Dreamcast, I can play the game that way. Here's hoping FFVII goes dirt cheap though.

Speaking of FF7, if you do get it, make sure you have the sound mod installed. Trust me

Yeah, but the PC version has icky sounding MIDI files.

Depends on what you mean by "optimized", considering it was largely a reissue of the 1998 port.

It uses the same f***ing piss poor soundtrack as the PC version. The mod replaces it with the PSX version instead, unless you want your ears to bleed, then yeah, the mod will make the soundtrack better.

Yeah, but the PC version has icky sounding MIDI files.

It's actually already been updated officially, no more MIDI (or at least not as bad as it was before on the steam re-release)!

Oh yeah, forgot they actually patched it. It's FF8 that hasn't been officially, and I'm sure they won't either Anyway, I hope SC Blacklist actually gets a nice discount this time

They'll probably just take the FFVIII midi mod someone made and use it in a steam update. Squareeeeenix already did the same with on of the usermade FFVII patches, shipping it without credit initially. Now the authors are referenced somewhere, but no money goes to them :/

Meh, for FF7, it was a matter of making OGG files and looping them, for 8, it was a bit trickier since it used .sgt files, but they still managed to do it.

i got devil may cry 4, bit trip runner and batman arkham asylum goty in the sale for under £7, not a bad deal, i am sure there will be more in the coming days though.
