There has been a lot of speculation as to whether the Vita would get physical releases of the two remastered games, or whether they would be released digitally only. Well it looks like SE have come to a fair compromise and decided to release FFXHD at retail with a download code voucher for FFX-2HD included in the box.

Here's Lee Williams, SE community manager via the EU PS Blog:
Hey folks! We know you’ve been eager for an update on the PlayStation Vita version of Final Fantasy X/X-2HD Remaster, so we just wanted to let you know that the game will be out in European and PAL regions on 21st March, 2014!
So it’s released on the same day as the PlayStation 3 version; PlayStation Vita owners can get both games in one package, with Final Fantasy X HD Remaster on the PlayStation Vita gamecard and Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster accessible via a redeemable download code (inside the box) to be used on the PlayStation Store.

The games will cost £29.99/€39.99/$39.99 at retail or via the PSN Store. This price includes both titles.

Gross. Why? Why not just put both of those tiny ass cartridges into the oversized case games come in?
[sarcasm]
blasphemy, if they are to include both games they should put each game on their own case. the games barely fit on their case and you want to fit two on one???
[/sarcasm]

because they can profit from Vita memory cards that way. they should have at least the courtesy of include a 4gig memory.

I just got an email from www.shopto.net who I preordered the Vita games with nearly a year ago:
Previous Price : £32.86
New Price : £26.86
Includes free shipping and they usually come the day before release.

That's a pretty good price imo I doubt amazon will be lower than that. I save a further £2.50 with loyalty points too!

Ah, compromise. Such a lovely way to say "make everyone unhappy".

Priiordered the PS3 Limited edition release (£29.5) since I can't seem to find the PSVita release anywhere :3

We'll better than not having X-2 at all compared to the (same priced?) PS3 release? :3

Ya know, once this game releases Final Fantasy I-X-2 will all be playable on Vita.

If only they'd finally release a remake of FFXII. FFX wasn't that special for me, but FFXII had an interesting combat system. Oh well, if FFX/X-2 does well, FFXII is on the way :)
