Okay this "four horsemen" thing is just stupid and looks like it's all being done by some 13 y/o who is probably bragging about how he "owned" "the scene" to his friends at school. Well, he would be if he had any friends at school.

Still, looking forward to the fail0verflow talk coming up soon.

I really don't understand all the doubt behind this, if you look at that forum post, Bubba pretty much confirms this is real. Of course that confirmation hinges on if that is the real "DJ Bubba" or not, but that doesn't seem to be coming into question.

It's easy to understand why people have serious doubts:

1. This type of sh!t has happened over and over again--people are sick and tired of people saying "Hey, I hacked this b!tch" and then turned around and either said "FU, we're not releasing"(no offense f0f but the sole reason I bought a Wii U was because you said you hacked it. After I bought it then you said you weren't releasing it. I was more than a little bitter for a while, and still am somewhat, but understand a little more why you guys did what you did) or "FOOLED YA" or we find out it was horsesh!t from the beginning and never hear from them again. Some even went so far as to take donations and then laugh in the faces of those who donated.

2. Which is easier? Do up a crappy photoshop banner or two or take a 5 minute vid with your cell of it in action? The fact that this "news" broke this morning and we haven't heard word 1 about it since just strengthens the doubt.

I'm not saying Bubba is lying, but he's being fed information just like we are. He could be being trolled as much as the rest of us....Or maybe it's 100% real and we'll see a video shortly. No one knows, but the next day or so will definitely tell.

Just go to the Wii hacking section, browse back to 2007 and read all the fake "We hacked the Wii!" threads. They all were just like this.

Last I saw Bubba was not sure. He said something like "50/50." He joked but that was NOT a confirmation. I have not checked it since the second half of the Packer's game BUT last I checked it was not confirmed.

Edit: Bubba's response from one of the threads

1. about 50%
2. I don't Know
3 Yes
4. I don't have a Clue

The questions for those answers were from me:

1. How much do you know about this?
2. Who is behind it
3. Is it real
4. When can we expect a release or is it another "We hacked it but not releasing" type of thing.

What the hell is a "spash screen"?

In any case...if that's how they are going to play it, I'll wait until I see a youtube video of a wiiu gamepad showing a "hello word" message. ;)

Which is accomplished by running the standard Hello World template (part of libogc) in vWii mode with the gamepad enabled.
