I used Streetpass Relay to collect 10 Streetpasses, then:

1. backup NAND
2. boot game, +10 villagers
3. save game
4. backup save
5. restore NAND
6. restore save
goto 2

I don't like to get into arguments and I think it's easy to interpret what someone else wrote so sorry if I sounded harsh ... all I want to say is that he didn't break any rules and he should be warn only if he does. I thought it was helpfull to see he managed to get a villager through the relay trick since I'm trying to do that too and I can't get one :S It gave me hope.

In the game you ca rebuild a village and it gives you different items and special moves ... it's a really nice feature and you miss a lot of cool stuff if you don't do it. Also, you can summon other people's mii you encountered with streetpass during fights.

You don't need it, but it will take you a really long time to get good items and special ability without them. You start with one villager and it takes time (between 1 and 100 hours) to build or level up a building or discover different area. You can let your 3ds in sleep mode and it works, but if you have 10 villagers for exemple, it will be 10x faster and you can rebuild several houses at once.

GBATemp members have an annoying tendency to think that every other members are stupid ... that being said, I know it's not out yet, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that is playing this amazing game on a flashcard in this 3.5 milion people city :S

And another thing, 3.5 million people doesn't mean 3.5 million gamers. Considering gateway is relatively new compared to the DS flashcarts, finding another player with a gateway is extremely unlikely.

That sounds awesome... would you happen to have that save file around / remember where you got it from?

I had a savegame after the 3rd crystal but it got corrupted and have to start again

I know ... I managed to get 2 streetpass for the japanese version of BD but none for the EU version

I cannot save anymore, because every time, I want to leave the game via home button and then close, it just says that its shutting down the software, but never ever finishes, I have to shut down the 3DS manually then and the saves wont be written to sd card... :/ lost a days worth of gameplay this way and havent been able to play now for 2 days because of this... not a big deal, since Im planning to buy the game tomorrow anyway (still got another up to date 3ds xl for my retail games, only use gateway for testing games), but I'm a little bit worried, that my gateway is about to fail and will be unusable soon, if this is a gateway problem and not just some incompatibility issues with bravely default... although I have been playing the game for 2 days before that, without any issues at all :/

After you save, try waiting 5-10 seconds before hitting home and then wait another 5 or so before closing the game. Not going to guarantee it works but it seems to have reduced the chance of it happening to me. This is a known issue with the beta firmware btw so your card is probably fine.

and then it stopped working with my save worth 8 hrs of playing
so anyone can try at their own risk, there is no absolute solution right now

If you mean Streetpass then yes, you can do that in 6.3 Emunand (not sure if you need emunand for it to work or not). I have done it myself using a homemade streetpass relay and have like 20 villagers now. Here is a guide for setting it up.

Well, to anyone that lives in Europe, with the update nintendo did with the streetpass relays, you can get up to 30 or more streetpasses a day. At least over here I've had tons of streetpasses for the game, but alas, I am using a real cartridge and in a country where the game was already released, so that might be the reason why there's no problems with getting streetpasses for the game. z.z

Same here. Streepass works. I can connect to NintendoZone and everything, but it keeps getting the message, that i didn't pass anyone.

Which Mac adresse did you point your connection to?

1. start the game until you see the save slots
2. end game -->home and x
3. shutdown okay --> no save problem for the next start of the game
shutdown freeze --> save problem start again 1.

4. try to close the game always in the save/profile slots menu (home + x)

for me streetpass works for BD, 2 options: close the game before streetpassing, or close your 3ds before
and wait for for the green light, after the blinking you can start the game or open 3ds (end standby)

running game during streetpasses, no one arrive to me
and only 1 villager of 1 mac (after 8h same mac can be use)
streetpass incommings must have the game i think
