Not that I hate you but if you messed up your update I wouldn't let you even touch my ds. I haven't updated myself cause I don't want to make mistake. Your friend must've great faith in you.

lol. i did not tell him about my 3ds but the deal was i replace his for another 4.1-4.5 fw 3ds if i mess up but i did ok. don't be scared it's simple really just follow the instructions in link posted on the previous page.

when this happens to me i just remove the micro sd from the gateway abd the sd from side of 3ds and reinsert them. fixes it for me

there's some people who found some possible ways to prevent that. I don't remember in which thread, though.

ah yes! one is leaving the L button as soon as the screen goes black.

Now better wait for the stable release of GW2.0 before attempting to update again. Supposedly it will be released around Christmas.

thanks for the advice,i have already prepared the sd card ready for updating to 7.0 when right time comes.
