I added a link in the first post to patches to convert US (v1 and v2) and JAP (v1 and v2) ROMs to EUR ROM.

I will not be releasing separate patches, all released patches will be for the EUR ROM.

I've finished (mostly) two of the custom levels to replace the remaining main levels.

The rest of the levels, like the second level will be based on NSMB worlds (second is World 4).

I haven't had as much time as I'd have liked to be working on this hack over the past few months as I've been busy working on the editor, a few big bugs have been fixed that should solve issues with levels and NARC files becoming corrupt, as well as adding the ability to import and export a level as an XML file. Latest version R72 available here:

Just glad to see this alive and kicking!
Of course, my keyboard would get sticky if you released an alpha build.

You know, from the junk food on my fingers during a 24-hour play session.

Maybe a dumb question: Does the patched Rom actually work on a DSi? I patched the EU Rom of Mario 64 DS with the latest patch file, and as i tried to jump into the first world picture (Bomb-Omb) - white screen.

I'am using a Supercard ONEi. :wtf:

Works fine here on my AK2i and DSi combo.

One thing to note is that (IIRC) there's two European versions; make sure you have the right one.

So far it's confirmed working on AceKard 2i, DSTwo and Gateway 3DS - DS Cart (and therefore most likely R4i as well).

Make sure your ROM hasn't been trimmed, it should be the full 16MB. The MD5 checksum should be 867b3d17ad268e10357c9754a77147e5

Redownloaded it.
Checked the MD5: Correct.
Started xdeltaUI.exe as admin.
Patched the Rom succesfully. Size of patched file: 16,9 MB (17.724.382 Bytes)
Run it on my Supercard DS One i with: SDspeed 3x, Clean Mode, Cheats OFF, MultiSaver: 0, MenuSaver: 512K, GameSaver: 64K, Bypass Anti-Piracy: ON | DSI Menu Language: German - WHITE SCREENS

I i launch it in Patch Mode, the rom won't even load (stuck at Supercard loading screen). If i turn Anti-Piracy to OFF, also: WITHE SCREENS.

Any suggestions?

Wait a minute... I'm vaguely recalling that certain hacks (like New Retro Mario Bros maybe?) had trouble running on the Supercard ONEi. You may just be out of luck.

Maybe true. Would be nice if any other Supercard Onei User sould confirm this. I also own an DSTWO. I could give it a try with it on the weekend, when i'am at home.

I've decided that I'm not going to try and make full replacements for the all 8 remaining original SM64DS main levels, it'll just be:
- Delfino Plaza as the hub
- the 7 other Sunshine levels replacing 7 of the originals
- a secret level for each of the seven SMS levels
- custom replacements for most/all? of the Castle Secret Star levels
- custom Bowser level replacements

I just don't have the time to try and come up with 8 new levels that are of good enough quality and I want to get this hack released soon, I've been working on it nearly 1.5 years with little progress since November, mostly because of the editor taking priority during that time. There've been a lot of big improvements to the editor recently such exporting rigged and animated (and any) model using COLLADA with support for importing rigged COLLADA models and partial support for importing animated models (basic ones working, I'm still working on this), also improvements to the KCL editor and lots of important bug fixes. (Details on editor development on kuribo64.net).

Also, I originally thought that going back over the levels I've done and improving their quality with vertex colours would take weeks and weeks but I discovered Blender has a very handy feature 'Dirty Vertex Colours' that'll apply shadows (basically) to your model as vertex colours in a few minutes. There's some manual tweaking that needs done but by next week the existing level models should be totally done with their quality vastly improved, adding the proper vertex colours really makes a huge difference.
