It generates a <GAMEID>.DVV file in the same folder as the devolution loader.bin or boot.dol for each game that's verified.I have a general question... What happens when Devolution validates
the actual disc? Does it alter the 1:1 ISO file in some sort of way to indicate it's been validated with actual disc?
NoThank you very much. Do you think its possible to take an existing DVV file and create one for a different corresponding .iso?
My Wii died and I have some game discs I would love to play.
Is it possible to run Devolution on Dolphin on a PC with the original disc and a Wiimote attached over Bluetooth?
The most recent version seems to store your validated games info in the Wiimote internal memory, so it's way more complex, since you don't have access to that memory.
It doesn't store the game info in the Wiimote memory. It uses the unique mac address of the wiimote as part of the encryption of the related .dvv file. So as long as it detects that wiimote mac is connected, it will allow the games to boot.
However, if you Wii remote dies (the controller itself), you're pretty much boned
Right. I'm also not sure if it's the mac address either, because I know that can be spoofed on other devices. But it is some unique identifier of the individual wiimote.
...Why bother using Devolution in Dolphin? Dolphin plays gamecube games natively.
13" Laptop Screen - dolphin
55" Plasma TV - Wii U
Is it possible to transfer to SD on the Wii, then bring it over to an HDD for use on the Wii U? My usb port is dead on my wii.
