So I use this bluetooth headset, and the button that activates Voice Dialing is pretty much the entire back, I always hit it when adjusting volume because I have to get the grip to press the button.

The problem is voice dialing is something I don't ever use, and its always breaking up my music.

What do?

I'm using Poweramp as my default media player.

I'm also rooted on 4.4, so I'm open to any easy root/text edits that could deactivate specific bluetooth buttons

If you're rooted, install Titanium Backup, make a backup of the VoiceDialer APK, then uninstall it. I've done this many times, as I too never use the Voice Dialer, and I haven't had any issues with it. If it does throw issues at you, you can just restore it.

I've also heard "disabling" Google Search in the Apps list will also disable Voice Dialing, but I'm not too sure on that.

Also check the settings in Language/Input. Some ROMs will have voice dialer settings in there.

I actually found my particular solution on my own by accident. Going into Bluetooth settings and unchecking Phone Audio and leaving media audio checked. I'm finding less reason to use Titanium Backup on a Nexus device, as I've only ever used it to remove bloatware from my past phones.

You can't just turn up the volume on your android instead of your headset?
It's more convienient to tap a button on your ear than to play with your phone in your pocket or take it out.

That and using your phone as the volume control means that you'd need to keep your headset near or at full volume. When you're constantly streaming AD2P for several consecutive hours, keeping the volume on the headset at its louder settings eats an hour or more battery life. I'd like to keep the 7+ hours of streaming I have as long as possible, as the alternative is listening to my work's constant terrible christmas or country music.

Is this the app that, in Titanium's app list, has the icon resembling the mouth end of an old fashioned handset? I have backed that up, and deleted it, but still Voice Dialer continues to activate. Is there another place within Titanium where I should look for APKs?

Any help would be appreciated; it's gotten ridiculous in the past month or so, even though I've had the phone for a couple of years, and have been using one or another Jellybean variant pretty much ever since it was available for my phone. I've disabled gesture control but Voice Dialer is liable to turn itself on whenever the headset is plugged in, particularly when I'm walking.
