People arguing more competition is better don't understand the flash card business. The companies that produce the knockoffs don't contribute anything positive really. Some folks may buy their inferior products, due to cheaper price, but usually they end up being disappointed due to lack of support. Furthermore, the blatant cloning is a hindrance to actual new development from companies who actually do have talent. If they know they might have, say, months of hard work just copied by assholes whose only skill is cloning chip designs and stealing software, they might not even bother putting in the effort. If you don't understand this, you are really quite dim. In the regular, legit world of hardware manufacturing, one is protected by various laws, patents, etc. Given the dubious legality of flash card products, this is nonexistent here, leading to the situation described above.

According to the 3DSLink update it now supports firmware spoofing and region free in its 2.0 update.
I don't know why they only showed a demonstration video on region free, which was already achieved by Gateway's 1.2, and showed nothing on firmware spoofing. Who knows? It may simply be that they managed to copy Gateway's 1.2 after their success with 1.0. To be fair, I don't really know if I even understand them correctly. English is far from their strongest suit. They claimed last Sat that their 2.0 has region free, and would release it in a week. However, only a couple days later it's out, and the added feature of "region spoofing" appears for the first time in their announcements out of nowhere.

I do remember back in the old days my first "FC", that G6 Lite with the Passcard.
Then it can't play any games... So I went to the DsTT which works very well until now.

1.Firmware Spoofing;
2.Region Free.
And R4 releases the identical firmware at the same time. This is eerie... It rubs me the wrong way.
