We want a 2.5D Metroid, really bad. When I say 2.5D, I mean full on Shadow Complex graphics. Have you guys played that game? In 3D it would truly be amazing.

Anyhow, Those just rumors i heard, but what i personally want to see is something i newer saw before.
I want Nintendo to surprise me!

I just want good story! and sense of isolation. My favorite was/is Echoes.
The feeling while playing the game and 2 world puzzles is irreplaceable.
And music, it makes you merge into darkness of the worldnot knowing what awaits you,
and it keeps you on your toes all the time!

So yeah. I don't care much about graphics or how you play the game (i'm not saying i would LOVE to see HD metroid)
But story and atmosphere is much more important i'm Metroid game... just remember Super Metroid

Quite simply, it plays nothing like Metroid Prime aside from the first person perspective. Notice the "true" sequels" have numbers in the name, but Hunters doesn't.

Saying Prime isn't a trilogy because of Hunters is like saying Uncharted isn't a trilogy because of the Vita game (idr its name). Or saying the Star Wars prequels aren't a trilogy because of the Clone Wars movie.

I don't think that means much in the big scheme of things. Batman Arkham Origins has a different developer from Asylum and City, for example.

I personally don't think it matters much alone or not, honestly. Although in this case, it does explain why the game was so different.

The point of my statement about Hunters is simply that their can be a "prime" game outside the prime trilogy. There already is.

So yeah the prime trilogy (Prime,Echoes,Corruption) will always be the prime trilogy but that does not mean there can not be more "prime" games.

Another Metroid by retro would be great whether it was a Prime, first person, third person, 3d, or 2D in my opinion.

I do think I prefer 2D Metroid. I beat all of those. I have not finished Prime and have not even played echoes. I played corruption first and I feel that game improved some things that made it hard for me to go back to the other prime games. I played hunters a little bit but couldn't get in to it.

I don't hate on Other M either. It was a good game with some issues but I enjoyed it overall. The only thing I don't like about it is it did not sell well and that has hurt the franchise...I want more Metroid.

I would love some 2D metroid on the 3DS (maybe some 2.5D effects). I loved how the Castlevania games kicked ass on GBA and DS and the GBA Metroids were great. Zero Mission is probably my single favorite Metroid. Its a shame Hunters and Pinball are the only DS metroids. It will suck more if we get no metroids on 3DS.

I think people need to remember that while Other M was a failure, it was still canon and still made by Nintendo. The longer people bitch about it, the longer Nintendo is going to stray away from that franchise.
