About time! I hear you say. Yes, we've finally decided that there are enough 3DS related files out there to warrant a standalone 3DS downloads section. Right now there are 5 kinds of files that fit in this section:
  • 3DS Flashcart files: download the latest updates for the Gateway 3DS as well as other related files
  • 3DS Game saves: share your saved games in this section.
  • 3DS Homebrew: this section will (hopefully soon) contain 3DS homebrew in the near future
  • 3DS Utilities: tools that run on the PC, for all sorts of purposes... ROM hacking and patching, savegame processing, and more
  • Other 3DS files: other 3DS related files such as 3DS-ready videos and more
We've tried to move all existing 3DS related files from other sections into this new one, but we may have skipped a few. If that is the case, please report anything that needs moving.

Can applications go in more than one category? 005Tools is a utility for DS, DSi and 3DS game cards, so I'm not sure if you missed it due to it's blinding level of popularity, or it can only go in one category.

hi McHaggis,
Yeah, a file can only appear in one category. That's one of the flaws of Filetrip, it can't do better than that at the moment.
I'm going to move it to the 3DS category now if you don't mind. I didn't see it initially because when I proceeded to moving existing 3DS files into the 3DS category, I only searched for the keyword "3DS" in file titles. Yours isn't called "3DS" anything, so I missed it.

Are saves from the Gateway transferable across systems?
If not, there doesn't need to be a Saves section.
If so, it should be labeled "Only for Gateway saves, all others are non-transferable."

Yes they are. But there's also devices like a R4i Save Dongle that also have transferable saves but don't work with the Gateway.

Yup, that's fine, I was just checking. ;)

Awesome. I smell an emulator for PC/MAC is under the way or something. :)
the gateway will be fully working before that happens and even if it does it won't be the same without 3d plus using the mouse as a stylus is the worst way to play touch games (i remember how bad it was in the ds emus especially the zeldas)
