Hello. I am here to make a non-Pokemon related thread in the 3DS section.

I've played the first three games (the games with Phoenix as the main character). I know there are two more old games (and hopefully soon 3, when they finish the Miles 2 translation). Here's my question. Do I need to play Apollo Justice and Investigations (2) before I start Dual Destinies? I plan to play them all, but I don't know if I should wait before I play the previous two.

I know the game won't be out until next week, but I was curious if anyone has played the Japanese version, or knows someone who did, and could help me out.

FYI, previous game references are important to me.

Yea you should. The Apollo Justice Story line is important because Dual destinies takes place after it. It's not just a spin off. Playing Miles edgeworth 1 probably isn't needed but you should still play it anyway before dual destinies because there's a character in there that's in dual destinies.

Damn... well, guess I won't be playing Dual Destinies Day 1 then. I already reached the credits of Pokemon Y though, so I guess I won't be too distracted from those two games. Thanks.

Also: I've read some people recommend Miles before Apollo Justice, even though Apollo Justice was released first. Do you/anyone else agree/disagree?

Just play Apollo Justice, Investigations can wait till afterwards. If you wanna be picky, yea Investigations chronologically happens first but it really doesnt matter because in the grand scheme of things, Investigations isnt like the attorney games. If you ever watched an episode of detective conan or read sherlock holmes, its like that.

The games (Investigations 1 and 2) have literally nothing to do with the ace attornies even though they are in the same universe of Phoenix wright (Investigations takes place directly after Phoenix wright 3 (trials and tribulations?) but you dont even have had to play a single phoenix wright game to play it. There are some references here and there (How phoenix changed him, his fear of earthquakes, etc) but it's like apple and oranges. Apollo Justice is vital to play before Dual destinies because it directly affects the dual destinies storyline. ALOT happened after 3 which was explained in apollo that you wont get if you go straight into dual destinies.

Hmm. Alrighty. I guess I'll play Apollo first and wait until they finish the translation of Investigations 2 before I play Investigations. Thanks for the info.

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol

sometimes I wonder why anyone would ever buy mega man x legacy collection 2
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all in chronological order, which makes legacy collection 2 worthless
