Gaming Notice about the 3DS section

Hi, i've noticed people have been making alot of clone threads of ones that already exist in other stretches of the 3DS forums.
I'm looking at you Pokemon...
Not only that, but people have been posting what should be in other sections of the 3DS forums, here.
Only serving to make this one part very crowded, which pushes important threads into other pages, making them invisible to people who dont search and serves to repeat the cycle of clone threads in here.

Maybe im speaking out of authority here, but seriously. Have a look at the whole 3DS section. There are sub-forums besides this one, dont cluster Games and Content too much

In fairness, Pokemon is Games & Content. Most of the threads in the Games & Content section don't really fit anywhere else. It's one of the top releases of the 3DS's lifetime, people are going to be talking about it a lot and there's not much you can do about it except wait it out until the hype dies down.

Wifi chat, trades and battles should be wifi and connection section
Hacking and dumps should be hacking and homebrew section,
instead they're all here, and if one isnt here, someone duplicates it coz they cant be bothered to search

What ends up happening is theres just too many threads in here and stuff gets lost,
Everything can be generalised to "games and content" but it shouldnt, coz its just too much.

I use this place alot and have as much right as anyone else to help it run better.

Not necessary, and even within itself would be too crowded. Also Pokemon shouldnt get its own subforum over any other game, thats not fair.

Everything will work, if people use the 3DS section properly

Console, Accessories and Hardware - Thinks about the console, items etc
Hacking & Homebrew - Hacking related stuff about the console
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection - Online features of the game, online groups communities etc.
Tutorials & FAQs - Tutorials about the console/game for the console

Don't be stupid and post Wifi Trades in Games and Content and if you do just Report the thread and say to move it to the Wifi Connection section so we know where to find what we need.

Or maybe they did search but couldn't find it because they searched the wrong place. Or only found an old outdated topic they aren't sure is still all the correct info. Or they just are lonely and want to talk to people and this is their way of reaching out. Whatever, I don't see the big deal of asking something that's already been talked about unless they're absolutely retarded about it.

How would you like to see 20 different "Pokemon discussion threads"?
Firstly it completely blocks up the section its in and makes exploring it a pain for people who dont wanna talk about pokemon
Secondly its annoying and confusing for the people who want to have convo's. HEY CHECK OUT THE DISCUSSION THREAD, ummm which one?
Thirdly Its ok to discuss something thats been talked about, do it in the same thread coz once again, Spam is bad

That makes 4―including this one―out of 19 threads I count on the first 2 pages, one of which is appropriately already locked by a mod, leaving a potential 3―again, including this one―that could be considered disruptive to the forum. The dupes you mentioned aren't really an issue since they are about leaks and the game is out (so there's nothing to leak), those threads will just continue to fall further down the thread list. So, without this one, there's only 2 threads that could be considered a problem... does that really warrant an 'ATTENTION ALL POKETARDS! STOP POSTING ABOUT POKEMON HERE!' thread? Surely it would have been better to report the threads so they could be moved?

I counted 4 out of place threads and 2 dupes (both the same thing and both locked after I reported them).
And thats just right now, I like to address problems in their early stages before they progress
Fair point about the reporting, and believe me I do.
But none of my "move this thread" reports get listened to for what I believe are a number of reasons. So I took matters upon myself with this thread.
