Oh suuuuure. DSThree would have emus but wait... it's piracy too, you know (unless you own every single game you want to emulate, otherwise you are still downloading pirated roms for emulators) and I'm 100% sure you would still use it to pirate 3ds games. No, you should at least buy major releases. 'Cause Pokémon X and Y are likely gonna be NAND-based, as are most other major releases. And maybe Nintendo will hide the update in a new place so SuperTrim trims wrong. So it'll be corrupted, and force 6.2. Or stuff game-breaking data in Super Trim. 'Cause I hate Gateway, it has no other purpose than piracy.
A DSThree, on the other hand, would have emus and homebrew. So would a full exploit.

You sound like an elitist hypocrite that hates gateway because... Oh well "because".
BTW. If I could buy it, I would (one of the games I would have bought). But 3ds and it's cartridges are not officially sold in Ukraine so I need to buy them from Europe, which almost doubles the price of a cartridge due to delivery fees (50€ for cartridge and 35€ for delivery).
After many attempts I was able to start the test:
when i press the L button the led is:
permanent red for 2/3 second
permanent green 1/2 second
permanent blue 3/4 second
blink red approximately 3/4 minute
permanent green
stop.
i tried the gateway with game but tell me more "the game card is removed......
the test I was able to start it 2 times out of fifty, the other times the test is impossible to do (like in the video)
i think the problem is the flash memory of red card (where the gateway save/restore the game)
I really have to send the card back?
Every time I want to write a new 3ds rom to the microsd for the red gateway do I need to reformat the micro sd or simply run the Win32DiskImager.exe ?
I first used the new gateway version blue because there is chosen so that the region is the console. (must be a new). deleted the second fichero at the root of the sd and recorded the new 3ds. dat
all games have to be official. in this case the test is not presiso. just be in fat32 and copy to the root of the micro sd

I do not ask this thing.

Reformat the card and use Win32DiskImager

so in windows i have to reformat so I can use the win32diskimager. right?no need to reformat.
technically, there isn't even a need to format ever, other than the fact that windows will not assign an initial drive letter to an unformatted drive, which prevents you from 'picking the drive letter' in win32diskimager.
note that the rom header specifies its size, so there is no danger that overwriting a smaller rom over a larger one will cause problems because of trailing 'garbage' from the old, larger rom.
from, say, linux, one can just use dd to copy the 3ds rom directly to the block device, say, /dev/sdc.

Did you install with the blue gateway card the gateway installer again?I can't get the GW Release 1.2 working on my 3DS.
I put the 1.2 Launcher.dat on the SD Card and when I go to Profile > Nintendo DS profile my 3DS just freeze. It doesn't reboot in Gateway mode.
I can hear the music of the 3DS settings but I have nothing on the screen and my 3DS just freeze here.
I have no problem with 1.0/1.1 Launcher.dat
