Hacking Gateway 3DS Release 1.2

This test software sounds pretty much like a ''homebrew'' to me.

so this is how they work:

proofing and region unlock -> China HongKong Taiwan support -> 5.1 support -> 6.1?

After i ran a basic diagnostics (press L while choose Nintendo DS Profile with red GW cart in 3DS, without the 1GB file), i got a constant green LED on GW cart, but the 3ds stuck with black/gray screens (with wifi, date and battery indicators on the top screen).
What should i do now? And the result like that means my cart is good, isn't it?

Haha. When they said LED I thought they meant the one of the 3DS. Thought it was broken until I saw that there is one in the gateway

After the test, i had to hold the power button to turn off my 3DS because i don't see any other way to get out. Was that OK?

You are not supposed to press L more than once. The test takes some time, so just press it once and wait until it turns solid green. If it doesn't after like 5 minutes it is probably broken.

...i press the L button and the led turn into red 1 second and turn green .....i think the test is finished....

No, there are 2 greens. One blueish green and in the end a really green green. Just wait a few minutes.

sorry, i read english very bad ( i don't study this lenguage) but the instruction is very clear
the time long is when the card read the romtest.nds.....AFTER the first 4 test..........
am I doing wrong?

I was actually not referring to you. (I think you just have to wait for the test to complete, it might take a while, looks like you followed the instructions though.) Was referring to earlier poster

Yes it is. There isn't much stopping homebrew now. We just need someone to develop a homebrew loader(maybe a channel) and an sdk. But we will definitely have homebrew (hopefully soonish and not months and months later)
